A bit of a hollow victory for Labour in Wakefield. They polled the lowest level of votes since 1931 with just 13k votes. They managed 18k votes in 2019 and 23k in 2017. Even Corbyn was more popular than Starmer. The runaway winners in this election were the non voters.

Some good has come out of covid. We now have our meat delivered from a local butcher. It's miles better than supermarket meat, and cheaper. Same with fish. No delivery charge on spends £25 +. Got a big chest freezer and keep a stock of everything. Oh and we got rid of Kay Burley

Scottish fishermen say they are losing 50,% on orice of shell fish due to delays at the ports. Why are our shops not flooded out with cheap mussels, whelks, cockles etc. I love mussels but you can't really get them down south.
