So if the Govt. Are so intent on
#NetZero
, why are all the new builds designed without solar PV?
Every one of them should be designed with a 4kW array, air source heat pump battery back up and EV charger.
Yet they sanction thousands of hectares of solar farms. 🤔
Just a small insight into what farmers go through to supply supermarkets at Christmas, only to be slapped in the face in the shopping aisles!
It’s bloody criminal! 🤬
@bcfreshfruitve1
Growers will be working throughout Christmas, night and day, in appalling conditions and at any cost, to supply their customers, who then repay them by applying promotional discounts!
They will be expected to carry the low prices to retain their supply contracts!🤬🤬
@JoeWStanley
You’re missing the point Joe.
JC earns more than his farm cost him each year.
It’s not about making money, it’s about showing the general public what farmers do.
This helps people understand farming and what it takes to succeed. Keep ‘em laughing, they’ll listen!
Good PR! 👍
@cleanupbritain
We need to put those on benefits to work by using them to clean our country of this detritus.
If you’re physically capable, you should be made to earn your keep or find alternative employment.
@clubhectare2211
Thank you for your kind comments.
Robin died suddenly after prolonged ill health.
It was a huge shock and he will be sadly missed; we now have a huge gap that can never be filled.
It is a comfort to know that he was held in such a high regard and considered a friend to so many.
@SkyNews
We’ve lost our sense of humour and if you ask me, with it our identity!
One of Britain’s great inherent attributes is our humour and ability to laugh at ourselves; where has it all gone so wrong?
@EileenDucksbury
Totally right Eileen.
They should amend building regs to demand that south facing roof space is maximised and should incorporate solar PV.
I wonder why they don’t?
Back in 2013, there was an estimated 800k ha of available roof space.
How much is there now?
So I am told that I need to renew my HGV Class 1 licence.
All I need to do is complete and return the form, along with a recent medical and eye test (two separate appointments).
£100.50 for the medical, £55.00 for the eye test……and they wonder why they can’t tempt drivers back!
Chantenay carrots being lifted at one side of the farm whilst more are being strawed down in preparation for the arrival of Winter.
They may end up on your Christmas table!
Just a snapshot of what needs to be done to ensure quality Chantenay!

@lesbashford
This country needs a complete review of it’s waste management.
Why expect payment for waste disposal at all?
Surely, the cost of collecting up all the fly tipping has to go a long way to subsidising this?
Time to think differently! 🤬
@BernieSpofforth
Right but where is this leading?
Do we now say that obese people cannot be treated because they choose to eat and drink too much?
Do we refuse liver transplants for alcoholics?
Have we ignored the concept of herd immunity?
This debate will be endless.
@Bobhills1963
Can’t agree more.
It pays for people not to work.
We need to adjust the system so the those on benefits can’t abuse the payments that they receive.
Why not issue food and energy tokens instead of hard cash?
Total imbalance, is it a stealth vote making policy?
Classic harvest scene on a Summer evening; big skies and that distinctive harvest smell of freshly chopped straw. A celebration of our wonderful farmers who work night and day to bring food to our tables!
All go at R. T. Farms today.
Amongst all the other jobs, great to see maize introduced into the rotation which will be destined for Rainworth Energy Ltd.
Preparations well under way beginning with a healthy dose of liquid gold, courtesy of Prestons Contractors Ltd.
Happy days! 😁
@j_macca7
I think you’ll find that the discounts are passed back to the grower with a promise to look after them when Christmas has passed.
In reality, prices just return to normal without compensation for their losses.
False promises and immoral practices.
Why Buy British?🇬🇧
You will be supporting the economy - everyone from the farmer, to those who work in food processing and the shops, pubs and restaurants selling the food.
Love British Food!🇬🇧
@QUBFoodProf
This is precisely why the UK should embrace our fantastic farming standards and pervent the import of sub standard foods.
Buy local, eat seasonal and support your farming and subsidiary businesses.
A typical lithium battery for an electric vehicle weighs as much as five passengers at 450kg. A staggering level of mining, refining & manufacture is needed to build an EV battery. It's horrible for the environment, given the hypocrisy over carbon dioxide & human emissions.
@WonPeople
The laughs from seeing people driving their own cars, on their own, wearing masks!! 🤣
In Darwins world, they really wouldn’t be there, surely?
Otherwise, there’s no point in having animal rights’ regulation.
Can I sense a very, very slow return to more common sensed based legislation?
Let’s hope so……🤔
@cleanupbritain
I have a solution.
If you claim dole and are able to work, the local Government employs you to clear rubbish from the roads, rivers and other public spaces, rather than do nothing.
That would encourage people back to work and benefit society at the same time.
@potter2207
That wonderful scientist was cancelled because he didn’t conform.
He spoke so much sense.
We need more David Bellamy’s.
No one estimates the environmental damage caused when volcanoes erupt or if they did, it’s not widely publicised.
Great business though, this Net Zero thing. 😐
@SusanHarris80
@johnisitme
Totally agree, what a brilliant man he was and I’m sure his logic and scientific knowledge proved to be very worrying for those who backed the concept of global warming.
Nevertheless, there have been and will be many who become very rich as a result of all the scaremongery!
The last 24 months has seen huge changes within our society, largely through information supplied via the mainstream media channels.
All I see is gross manipulation and exploitation of power by the media , impacting hugely on all of us.
I’m getting very pi**ed off with it! 🤬
Just watched my recording of Sunday’s Counryfile.
The report on neonics sends one message.
Farming needs to press the reset button.
The Sugar industry in this country is finished.
Focus on carbon sensitive policies and adapt.
A new dawn is coming.
@EnglandRugby
@TomCurry98
The workload of the pack is often overlooked. The back row are so vital to winning and securing ball.
Tom Curry is an inspirational workhorse, a true 7.
A well deserved place amongst our national squad.
🇬🇧🏉👍
Nice to see that there is still room for a sense of humour in old age!
I wonder how long it will be before even this becomes unacceptable in our woke society!
@TWBFarms
@Minette_Batters
@NFUtweets
@Channel4News
From what I’ve witnessed of Minette’s leadership to date, she has shown fantastic leadership and is a wonderful spokesperson for the farming industry.
To suggest that there is a collusion with the retailers is totally counterproductive.
Maybe you should rethink your perspective.
@farmerevees
@RTfarmers
@Tesco
@tesconews
Who would choose one retailer over another for the price of carrots?
If they charged 50p/kg, no one would actually give a flying f***!
Greedy, arrogant, unsustainable business.
Let’s tax supermarkets and support small independent retailers and rejuvenate our market town centres.
@Riverford
Well said and well done Guy.
You are an accomplished ambassador to this, very just cause.
I congratulate you for bringing this subject to the attention of the wider public. 👏🏼
@PeteNorth303
@MattLimbImages
With ‘000’s of hectares of available roof space on RDC’s and other industrial buildings.
Why is it not mandatory to put PV on the roof?
The same goes for new build domestic.
The buyer could include the cost in their mortgage.
But no, farmland is best! 🤯😐
@cleanupbritain
@theresecoffey
This is partly down to the fact that we don’t provide clean resting places for all the undervalued HGV drivers who we all rely on to deliver all of our goods.
They have to rest, by law.
Often with no decent facilities and there is little option but to do what bears do!! 🐒💩🌳
@cold957
It’s disgusting to see this.
I get the feeling that no matter what we do, it is overwhelmed by the desecration and destruction to the environment that people such as this create.
There’s something wrong in their primitive minds.
If we give them money, they’ll just abuse it.
@BusMatthewh
@Tesco
Tesco, who promote Tate & Lyle over Silver Spoon.
Tesco, who put Danish bacon in the viewpoint and British bacon on the bottom shelves.
Cheapest produce over local produce.
Bloody hypocrites!
@tractorman07
@agricontract
@wheat_daddy
Similar to what Sir David Bellamy was saying before he was cancelled, never to be heard in the media again.
Something to do with oscillations in the earth’s trajectory due to its constant spinning, veering to and from the Sun over a 200-250 year cycle.
Sounds plausible to me.
@agrirach
@PaulWoldfarm
Can’t agree more!
What a wonderful product which, because of lack of demand, has left some farmers finding more value from it through composting.
Wool ticks so many boxes in todays world, about time we rekindled our love of it and gave our sheep farmers a badly needed boost!
@MattLimbImages
Bloody disgraceful!
One of the most efficient agricultural countries and forced into quitting because of retailers relentless pursuit of unrealistic food prices, whilst maintaining their own profits.
Veg producers will be next, the what? 🤬
@KarenJukes2
@johnisitme
Another example of celebrity wokism, all in the name of being “society friendly” and increasing their appeal.
Who else is sick and tired of all this 🐂💩! 🤬
@chopchopni
@Tesco
Agreed and what a shame it is too.
Have you ever wondered why our high streets are empty nowadays?
Excessive council business rates coupled with supermarket bullying.
We used to go into town to shop, now we stay on the outskirts!
@wheat_daddy
@WelshGovernment
Badgers need culling. Period.
It’s obvious how overpopulated they are by the number being run down on the roads.
I don’t remember so many laying by the roadside when I was younger.
They have no natural predators in this country, so its down to us to control them.
@Longwool
@JeremyClarkson
Great example of the cold, harsh reality that many of those with the power to influence choose to ignore.
Jeremy has the special talent of being able to see the full picture and add a generous dose of common sense.
A huge shame that this is such a rare quality these days! 😐
@its_m7ke
@bcfreshfruitve1
Their standard payment terms are 90 days, so plenty of time to sell, rake in the cash, sit on it and earn interest before ripping the producer off.
Don’t make assumptions without the facts.
Soon to be a rare sight in South Yorks.
Not the Pisten Bully, the plane!
Shame that our Government can’t see the benefits from retaining an airport in our region and step in to stop it’s closure.
So much for “levelling up”! 🤷
Oh well, more brick boxes due on the horizon!
Stacking up to be a perfect Sunday.
Siblings and partners expected along with good friends for a wonderful rib of beef with trimmings, supplied by Pearson Farming.
Feeling very fortunate to be given this privilege by those who died and suffered on our behalf!
#lestweforget
@RobMorg99327338
They go to whoever is the cheapest without a regard for food miles or environmental impact.
Everyone forgets about the empty shelves when the pandemic and Ukrainian war began, resulting panic buying!
Morally bankrupt and disloyal, all in the name of maximum profit. 🤬
Don’t know about everyone else but I’m getting sick of blocking adverts on Twitter!
They used to pop up once in a while but now they’re almost every other post! 🤬
@cjtaylor92
@Tesco
@asda
Why have people only just begun to notice this betrayal?
Tesco especially, has been giving foreign products preference for decades.
They satisfy their ethical policies by dictating “Nature’s Choice” to the UK, then buy cheap from abroad.
Commercial, double standards.
“Welcome here big boy, have a cigar you’re gonna go far!…..they call it the “Gravy Train””. Wonder why he let baby brother go for the leadership of their beloved Labour Party when you can follow the lead of all the other hypocritical political leaders.
