It’s a great honor to stand with Tesla workers, Alex & Keenan,who along with their co-workers have overcome more in the first 72 hrs of their organizing drive than I could ever imagine including the firing of 40 workers. They represent the hope of the labor movement. @jazbrisack

One year ago today, on MLK Day, Starbucks partners in Memphis (Nikki, Nabretta, Reaghan, La'Kota, Kylie, & Beto) joined together with workers in Buffalo (Jaz and Casey) and Knoxville (Maggie), and took their union campaign public.

Honestly, this is not a fair fight! Almost feel bad for Edelman (Howard’s PR firm) and Starbucks’ notoriously competent PR team having to go up against the incomparable Alex, Tyler, Michelle H, Nabretta, Michelle E, Casey, Maggie, Jasmine, and Josie!

Schultz can learn something from this coffee company. No, they don’t write books telling the world how great they are, they just act morally — a concept about as foreign to Schultz as respecting workers’ fundamental civil right to organize. Congrats to the Intelligentsia workers!

Breaking: 4 months after baristas at Intelligentsia Coffee's Chicago locations voted to unionize w/ @IBEW Local 1220, the workers have won a first contract that includes raises, paid meal breaks, & fairer scheduling. The company decided to just negotiate (unlike Starbucks).
