Fentanyl is flooding our nation, killing record numbers of Americans, and President Biden's open border is only making it worse.
I joined Ben Shapiro to discuss this crisis and my plan of action in Congress to protect Americans from this deadly drug.
It was great meeting with Douglas County Commissioners to discuss the Wenatchi Landing project.
We spoke about the plans for new housing and commercial space, which will bring new economic opportunity to the region.
I’m looking forward to seeing the continued progress!
Wishing a happy National Farmer's Day to all the agricultural producers of Central Washington.
Thank you for all the hard work you do to make Central Washington one of the most productive agricultural regions in the world.
Today, I attended the ribbon cutting for the Tidewater Renewable Fuels Hub.
As we face unprecedented demand for clean, reliable, & affordable energy, I'm thankful Tidewater is expanding the PNW's ability to move & use biodiesel critical to our rural communities & the ag economy.
It was great visiting Diamond J. Farms with
@RepMaloyUtah
and
@RepAdrianSmith
.
We discussed the effects of the Farm Bill extension and heard directly from producers about the challenges they are facing.
Thank you for having us!
This week, as Chairman of the
@westerncaucus
, I led
@RepMaloyUtah
and
@RepAdrianSmith
on a tour of Gifford Pinchot National Forest.
We spoke with ranchers that have cattle in the area about the differences between public and private land management and the challenges they face.
As Chairman of the
@westerncaucus
I thank the
@NatResources
Committee for having me at their field hearing on the importance of collaboration in the Deschutes Basin and its impact on ag and species recovery in the region.
I introduced the Upholding USPS Delivery Standards and Election Integrity Act amid concerns over changes in mail processes like in Yakima and Wenatchee.
We need confidence in USPS's ability to deliver on time and without interruption, especially in election years in WA state.
On the anniversary of the savage October 7th attacks by Iranian-backed terrorist group, Hamas, it is important that we remember all the innocent victims.
As our ally in the Middle East, it is imperative that we stand by them as they continue to defend their sovereignty.
It was an honor to attend the ribbon cutting for
@WSUTriCities
' Institute for Northwest Energy Futures.
The crucial work done here will influence policies across the country and serve as a guide for other institutions to use in implementing common-sense clean energy production.
This week, I visited the Priest Rapids Dam and heard from Grant County PUD's Fish & Wildlife team.
We discussed all the work they are doing in the fish hatcheries to preserve the local population and I saw firsthand their impressive hydropower operations. Thanks for having me!
Today I joined
@awbolympia
for their annual State of Manufacturing Event.
Central Washington is a hub for manufacturing and responsible for creating so many jobs in our region, and it was great getting to see some of the facilities that help spur our economy.
The American dream, which we still see as a beacon of hope, feels more out of reach today than ever. We hear from constituents every day who tell us things have become unaffordable, and something must be done.

Since its inception, the ESA has only recovered or de-listed 3% of its listed species. Only in the federal government would a 3% success rate be acceptable.
The ESA needs reform—not only for the sake of our species, but for those affected by its land usage restrictions.
“One thing is clear: Congress is long overdue in advancing [ESA] reforms that empower private landowners while at the same time protecting vulnerable species.” Read more from Chairman

In the face of constant threats from terrorist organizations and hostile nations, Israel has stood as a beacon of democracy in the Middle East. It's imperative that we, as their ally, stand united in support to ensure its survival and success.

Last night the House PASSED the Fix Our Forests Act.
As Chairman of the
@westerncaucus
and a lifelong resident of Central Washington where we are affected by wildfires, I supported this bill for our forests, our communities, and for the future of restoration efforts.
This Clean Energy Week, I point to Central Washington as an example of how all forms of clean energy work together to sustain a dependable grid and how important hydropower is as our source of baseload power.
Happy National
#TeachAg
Day!
Ensuring the next generation of producers is crucial, and without dedicated teachers investing in future farmers, Central Washington would not be one of the most productive agricultural regions in the world.
