Moving forward, we'll be scaling down our posting frequency.
Progress is slow and steady, and considering the content that's left, almost everything we're working on is in spoiler territory.
We thank you for your patience!
The Dredge: Its pilot is a veteran combatant, and her machine is a blood-drenched marvel. It can be called in during combat and will remain in active use even after combat ends. However, this mechanical marvel has a tendency to overheat and needs time to cool.

One of the mightiest beasts in the Valley has been terrorizing both the caverns and the surface, and has come to hinder progress on the campaign. This leviathan will be no mean feat to vanquish.
This is it. The final leg of our journey. It's been almost three years since we started this crazy project, and it's been a pleasure and an honor to have so many fans ready for each update. On that note, this next one is a BIG ONE, and that means it's going to take a lot of time.
The Judicator: A woman of dissonant power, this chevalier harnesses the Light and the Pagan gods in equal measure, channeled through the ever-mysterious amber. Look forward to her Vanilla release later this week!

We are very pleased to announce that our Wildlander Community Poll is live! The vote is for which enemy concept will appear in the Exposed Interior. The Poll itself and more information about individual concepts can be found on our discord server:
Behold; The Valley.
Along with the breath-taking vista of our new campaign, the interface is seeing a thematic update as well. The revamped quest icons feature stylish new icons and borders, as well as custom indicators for night and day missions in the Exposed Interior.
We hope that you all are enjoying the Sands and Savages update! On our way to the next leg of our journey, we need to take a brief stop for some ship upkeep! This mini-update will focus primarily on enhancing and adding functionality to the new home base.
At long last, we're delivering the the fourth major update to Black Reliquary! The Crawling Chaos update includes a swathe of new features, balancing and mechanical adjustments, a new hero, a full new region, and so much more.

Wildlander Bombard: When relentless fury meets devastating technology, little can hope to stand against it. The bombard's brutal attacks will leave her foes with little opportunity to brace for impact.

On our first release version, there was mention that the Abbey would become a refinery. At long last, we present the Amber Workshop! Here your heroes are able to refine, barter, and consume the mysterious Amber found within the Valley.

A terrifying force has swept through the groves of the estate. War drums echo in the distance and brigand camps lie hastily abandoned. Soon, they will descend upon us. Stay tuned for our next teaser mod of the new Black Reliquary faction!

Officially Announcing the Black Reliquary! This ambitious mod plans to overhaul or alter a majority of game mechanics and replace the game's setting, locations, and enemies.
The Ghoul Maw: A meek appearance hides a horrifying reality. These beasts are capable of swallowing entire adventurers and drawing from their life force to transform into savage combatants.
Artwork by
@Krekkov
, concept and some edits by
@spurpleheart
The Levantine Sarcophagus: A being which freely prances across the lines between life, death, and undeath. Able to strike raw terror into his enemies and resurrect himself, he is not to be underestimated
Artwork by
@metal_gy
Wildlander Packhound: Do not be fooled by the appearance of these hyenas. Wildlander domestication and equipment have rendered this pack hunter into an savagely lethal beast.
Art by
@itz_zap
and
@spurpleheart
Wildlander Corvid: Preferring to skulk about the sand-blasted ruins in the darkness, the Corvid scavenges and collects various discarded and forgotten weapons. In combat, she launches her reclaimed weaponry as projectiles, while also retrieving the weapons of fallen allies.
The Ripperkin: a keen follower of the legendary Ivory Matron, whose knowledge and prowess over Kvarotz machinery was passed down to those who could ride these metal man-eaters.

@AStoyanovv
An assortment of special trinkets bordering on contraband is available through a special contact on the Flameseeker. She is not interested in your gold, however. Her prices are measured in Refined Amber.

As we make the move over to our own steam page release, we're now able to have our own intro and main menu. Future additions aren't off the table, but there is only one functioning difficulty mode at this time.

The Cactonid Supterpath: One of the most perilous of the plant-beasts, this underfoot juggernaut only appears as a triggered trap. Not only is it remarkably durable, it is highly aggressive, striking with stuns and blight while it guards allies behind its monolithic shield.
We're closing in on our destination, but we have one more side-stop to make! The coming update will be primarily focused on adding new airship events to your campaign. Details on their gameplay impacts are withheld for now, but expect some interesting scenarios ahead!
The Levantine Rakshasa: When man and monster achieve harmony, there is little that can stand in their way. The Rakshasa channels a ferocious demon, reaving and terrorizing its adversaries.
Beyond the Yngolian! Our new miniboss is nearing completion, and will be encountered in a familiar way, as well as more creative options for those eager for a rematch.
As we move forward to the final update, content being worked on will be going headfirst into spoiler territory. We're not thrilled about dialing back our showcases on social media, but it's necessary to preserve surprises.
Only 24 hours until Black Reliquary's Early Access is released on Steam!
This FREE total conversion mod of
#DarkestDungeon
overhauls combat and progression, includes new narration, a new soundtrack, and much more!
We want to thank everyone for such a positive feedback on our first release, and we're working hard to fix issues some players encountered.
While we were able to pass first two obstacles unharmed, our next goal is The Exposed Interior, a home to savage Wildlanders.
The Cactonid Hemophyll: This bulbous lump of corrupted cacti may seem less vicious than its counterparts at first, but it uses its huge spine-covered body to shield its allies and stab its attackers.
Artwork done by
@itz_zap
and
@spurpleheart
The Cactonid Necrobiote: Using a reclaimed skeleton as a weapon, this puppeteer lurks in the backline to hammer your heroes with stress and the new "Leeching" status which punishes the use of friendly skills.

War drums resonate beyond our walls. The smoke of burning caravans and camps billows above the treetops. The Wildlanders are upon us. The Wildlander Invasion mod has been released! Enjoy a taste of the new enemies from the Black Reliquary project!
The Troglodyte Spawn is a gestating time-bomb that, if unimpeded, will release a powerful creature of the Troglodytes' grand machinations. Force it to hatch early, and the beast will be unstable.

The Ghoul Pharmacopola: When striking pure fear into your heroes simply isn't enough, the Pharmacopola will terrify his own allies in order to transfer their accumulated horror to you. He can also enhance his allies with injections while letting loose his cage of tiny terrors.
One of the many stray soldiers of the Ostvengr empire, the Dredge marches on, seeking a new path in life. With her trusted omni-pistol at her side, she is braced for the horrors that lie ahead.

The ultra-rare Mountain God curio was added in the latest mainline update and it grants a special trinket upon interaction. In the upcoming updates we're planning to add similar curios to other regions.
We'll be sharing these new curios here over the next several weeks :)
The Levantine Terpsichorean: Both mesmerizing and deadly, this nimble foe is more than meets the eye. While offering support to his allies over the course of the fight, he concludes his performances in devastating displays.
The first boss of the upcoming Caverns Region: The Troglodyte Gastrosaur.
A terrific and mortifying monstrosity bred and trained to be an unstoppable force of death. When struggling, it becomes filled with unimpeded rage.
Black Reliquary is seeking a new group of internal testers as we move into our non-workshop iteration! Testers must have a Discord account, Steam account, be highly active and open about feedback, and able to communicate in English.
The Cactonid Verterephile: A lanky, ceiling-dwelling assailant, which uses its incredible reach to unrelentingly harass your heroes. It's persistently moving your team out of position with its noxious spit, lapping at them with its tongue, or simply yanking them to the front.
Posting again to make up for last week!
Wildlander Reaver: Sometimes the simple approach remains the effective one. Brute force with time-tested weaponry result in an all-too-familiar presence of dread and terror.

The Cactonid Arcanoid: This monster-in-treasure's-skin feasts on any victims fool enough to open it. The enormous teeth of the Arcanoid are not only a danger to its enemies, but to itself. To offset its recklessness, it restores its health by devouring the flesh of your heroes.
Once again we're looking for more voice actors to voice some monster enemies that will be appearing in the next update!

The T'hanur: An infernal mechanism of the Kvarotz designed to bolster the durability of its allies, and expel smoldering smog at its rivals. When a more destructive approach is needed, it will skewer any unfortunate heroes with its welder.

@itz_zap
The Homonid Duplicant: A Cactonid shapeshifter that uses a bloated corpse as its shroud. It imitates the healing of a Crusader, the status application of a Friar, and the debuff blast of an Appraiser. It tries to stay in the back to harass your party with stress and statuses.

After our much-needed update to Black Reliquary's infrastructure, we are finally ready to move on to the upcoming Caverns region which will feature the new Troglodyte faction. Brace yourself to take on savage creatures of the Amber-laden tunnels beneath the Valley!
It was with great excitement that we were able to release the Crawling Chaos update for Black Reliquary, but now it's time to turn forward once again! The Treasury is up next! Get ready to plunder the overgrown vaults of the Kvarotz, and face its Cactonid inhabitants...
Although the desert may be harsh, you can still find those willing to bargain.
Introducing the Vendors of the Exposed Interior: A daring archaeologist who wanders the Valley in search of lost artifacts and a Wildlander male, helplessly bound to this cache he is forced to carry.
The Levantine Pursuer: Through talon and blade, the Pursuer and his avian companion can rend the bodies of any target set before them.

The Kvarotz Makaris: Wrought from the most favorable of cadavers, the Makaris instills debilitating terror into heroes whilst summoning a unique type of totem which prevents heroes from healing and serves as an endless source of corpses for the other Kvarotz.
The next major update for Black Reliquary is almost done! As we prepare the public version, we want to give content creators an early preview of the mod. We'd be releasing it on August 8th. Please contact us if you are interested, or if know someone who would be, let them know!
The Cactonid Aspiciac: This frontliner is as formidable as it is disturbing. Its boisterous defensive stats are supplemented with the ability to stun, apply the leeching status to heroes, and deliver significant stress to your team.
Artwork by
@metal_gy
The Wildlander Harrier: Disallowed from direct confrontation, the Harrier's skull-splitting arrows join the fray from the sidelines. When the sun has set, these barbaric snipers will strike from cover of night for a fatal ambush

The Judicator: She manipulates the battlefield by channeling both her faith and the mystical properties of amber. Fortified and focused, the Judicator provides unparalleled support to her allies.
Our Community Poll winner, Wildlander Raptor: With enough training, even a fishing tool can make for a devastating weapon. Nimble and precise, the Raptor is poised to skewer and reel any adversary within the range of her Kvarotz harpoon gun
Art by
@metal_gy
The Levantine Firewalker: A ruthless incineratrix who inflicts terrifying swathes of flame across her opponents. However, this recovered combustible technology isn't perfect...

The Raptor and The Druid
The Upkeep Mini-Update is coming out on March 29th!
The core content of this update will include:
- Enemy Resist Scaling Changes
- 8 New enemies
- ALOT of trinket/hero/monster rebalancing
- A handful of new trinkets and quirks
- More Bugfixes
If left unchecked, the Troglodyte Spawn will hatch into the terrible and majestic Perfect Prodigy which will tear heroes asunder, particularly those that are Amberblighted.
The Levantine Thaumaturge: A brilliant alchemist and malicious combatant, the Thaumaturge holds toxic bombs and bears a canister of manipulated Eldritch flesh, releasing it on any who stand in his way

@itz_zap

The funeral site is the Flameseeker's version of the graveyard, allowing you to view the heroes you've lost. This corner of the ship has a specialist to handle the corpses in giving them a burial at sea (but from the sky). To match this theme, the headstones have been redesigned.
The Troglodyte Cultivator: This peculiar fiend primarily focuses on supporting allies and intimidating your heroes. Unusually, he can manipulate corpses to become amber beacons which affect the battlefield.
Artwork by
@MoonKanin
, original concept by
@spurpleheart
The Kvarotz: A black-hearted empire which praises one's power and the suffering of others. Torture and torment are celebrated, as are offerings to the dark gods. Streets are patrolled by automatons, lumbering about in the darkness and fueled by the corpses of the disobedient.
The Levantine Sniper: With his vast experience and multiple arrowheads, he has an answer to any problem thrown his way. However, this flexibility comes at the cost of haste. It takes focus to deliver the perfect killshot.
Our new Treasury region is set in the overgrown remains of the furthest depths of the valley. The echelon of the Kvarotz society accumulated their vast riches here but it has since been taken over by twisted plant creatures.
