Joey Votto continues to contribute to @Reds history not just in accolades but in artifacts as well. He even stopped in for the installation of the homeplate, lineup card, and game ball from his 300th HR game to be preserved & showcased at the Hall in perpetuity. Thank you Joey!

This date in Reds history, 10/2/69, Pete Rose clinched his 2nd NL batting title in his last at-bat of the season. Rose came to the plate in Atlanta in the 8th w/a slim .0008 lead over Roberto Clemente. He beat out a bunt to clinch it. 4/19/70 ceremony to award silver bat.
