Cllr Juma Begum has been elected as the new Mayor of Redditch at the annual meeting of Redditch Borough Council. Cllr Begum chose the Disability Support Project as her civic charity.
Cllr Joanna Kane was elected as Deputy Mayor.
We've recently started cutting 1 meter strips, where possible, on grassed areas to allow people to maintain a safe distance when walking. Due to Covid19 our public landscaping services have been reduced as they are non-essential under Govt guidelines & for the safety of our staff

🌳 New trees have been planted in Redditch under the council's woodland management plan.
2,600 native oak, field maple and cherry saplings were planted at Hunt End Lane and Arrow Valley Park by our tree and landscape teams.

Did you know? No "grey bin" waste in Worcestershire goes to landfill. It is taken to the EnviRecover plant where it is burned to create electricity. The facility exports an average of 18MWh to the National Grid, enough to power approximately 32,000 homes.
