Developing for mobile on Roblox is such a pain. It's the most popular type of device, yet testing on mobile isn't possible in Studio and half the touch API seems to be buggy/broken. There used to be a great app for testing on a local mobile device but that got deleted years ago

Plugins are a vital component of Roblox's success. It's painful to see talented, passionate developers so blatantly undervalued. An 80 - 90% fee on their products is unsustainable. I don't create plugins but this is one of the issues I want to see Roblox correct most this year.

Feeling old. I still remember using the command line to rotate objects with CFrame when I first starting developing around 2008 - 2010 No plugins back then and you could only rotate 90 degrees using the Move tool!

If you took part in the SharkBite RP2 event and didn't get your badge re-join the game you'll now get it when you enter. If you have the badge but weren't awarded the hat, try deleting the badge and re-joining SharkBite for a new one. Roblox had some issues. Happy Hunting 🦈

Ackerman Steering on new Backpacking vehicle chassis. Currently switching from simulated to constraint physics since there's no access to the internal 240Hz physics step so simulated vehicle performance is poor on low end devices such as Xbox. #RobloxDev

Couldn't find a graphing plugin on Roblox so made my own basic graph plugin. Tracks any numeric or Vector3 property of an object as well as show you a target line. Useful for configuring the PID controller for new boat mechanics. #RobloxDev

All SharkBite 2 boats use #Roblox physics for realistic water interaction. PID controllers control boat speed and steering, further PID controllers adjust a boat's mass to make them function as submarines! I'm proud of how flexible this system is 🛸🛥️🦈

Roblox developer workflow would be much faster if Roblox brought back the Developer App from 2014. It used to connect studio to your phone so you could easily test & debug at the same time. People have forgotten it was ever possible.

There needs to be much more pressure on @Roblox , there's only so much server validation developers can do to stop this. For a multi-billion $ company the current systems in place are utterly useless and developers are left fending for themselves.

Hot take 🔥 The current like / dislike feature is awful. Developers get no useful information, Devs who ban hackers get dislike bombed, games usually have double the quantity of favourites compared to likes, Devs can artificially increase likes with rewards for players.

@DJMonopoli Controversial opinion but I think Roblox should remove the dislike button. It’s way too easy to dislike bomb games. Only keep the like button but also add “reviews” in the form of written responses. Basically copy Steam.
