Just noticed this small detail: Dante has proper trigger discipline and waits until the moment of aiming to put his finger on the trigger, but Vergil doesn’t use guns so his finger is already on the trigger at this moment. Intentional or not, it’s interesting.

Please, I emulated this game and it took me around 48+ hours to set up. 2 full days thinking l’ll never get the opportunity to ever play MGS4. My PC almost burned up too! I forced myself to finish most of the game in one sitting cause I didn’t know when it might stop working. 💀

Metal Gear Solid 4's Act 4 was probably the strongest use of nostalgia bait I've ever seen in any videogame. RE4 Remake does trigger nostalgia very well with the same map setting and lines, but seeing Old Snake experience flashbacks *with* us, hits even harder emotionally.

Every time I feel stressed, I think about this, and remember that stress can accelerate aging. I theorize that he aged normally between 1964-1975, but then the rapid aging happened between 1975-1984. Dude looks 55 in MGSV, and then 85 in MGS2. Ages faster than a US president.

One detail I noticed about this scene in Sahelanthropus is that when Kaz's appearance changes, Snake's face seems to change from Venom Snake to Big Boss. If you look at his eye and lip shape, it's a very subtle difference but Snake looks different. (See replies for comparisons).

I just finished the mission "Skull Face". I thought it would end with a massive boss fight. Instead, the mission ended with a rather captivating dissertation from the villain himself while I silently sat across from him and avoided eye contact like the neurodivergent I am.

Stupid question but are Venom and Big Boss supposed to have slightly different in-game face models or is it from the acting? I'm bad with facial recognition but there's something about Venom that gives him a kinder, more caring, sympathetic look, while BB has a much colder look.

I know it's not a huge deal, but it kind of is for me. I finally 100%'d Metal Gear Solid V! I have the habit of *almost* 100%ing a game, leaving it with 1 or 2 achievements remaining; MGSV and Skyrim are the only games I've platinumed. It's been a wonderful experience!
