A little holiday project for Wg Cdr Morris -
@RAFBenson
at 1:500 scale on the RAF section floor.
Airfield lessons will make more sense now!

Fitting tribute today at Memorial Arch. Social distanced parade, obeying all Covid protocols to honour our servicemen and women. All due to great cadets and lots of hard work and preparation by
@AviationCcf
and Radley RSM.
@RadleyCollege
RAF section cadet Sgt Arthur B had an amazing opportunity to visit
@British_Airways
last weekend and fly one of their simulators.
Many thanks to
@2ftsCamp
@aircadets
for helping this happen - and of course BA for the experience itself
Neil McCleery leaving at the end of camp - and leaving
@RadleyCollege
for
@BedfordSchool
. Neil was a true volunteer - not paid by the school - and gave many hours of his time for Radley's
@aircadets
#RadleyRAF
. He’s not leaving the RAFAC and he says he’ll be back
Four RAF section cadets are attending this weeks
@aircadets
National Aerospace camp at RAF Syerston. Airshow about to start…

@2ftsCamp
Proud to announce that FS Will has completed his Private Pilots' Licence thanks to
@rafcharitable
@aircadets
scholarship
@taysideaviation
- here he is with the aircraft he flew for his final test, and a copy of the route.

Stop at McDonald’s on the way home. Congratulations to Cpl Toby R
@RadleyJSocial
on winning Best Shot. A fantastic day’s work with quality performances all round.
Sadly we didn’t win any of the sub events but there’s always next year…
Please get in touch if you have a Father and cadet at the same unit. We want to thank all of the dads out there and show case some of the squadron and contingents stories.

Another batch of
@aircadets
RAF section recruits shooting for the first time - some amazing improvement in their grouping from start to finish.
Thanks to FS Pedge from
@AbingdonAirCdts
for his support as always.
#whatwedo
This term’s new recruits being briefed on the rest of the year - and crucially whether to join
#RN
,
#Army
or
#RAF
@aircadets
sections.
Here’s hoping for a bit more of a return to normal before the end of the school year 🤞
Great photo - thanks.
We’re lucky that our recruits already train in their 'bubbles' so can parade in them too. Older cadets rather more spaced out than normal but great to see that the government has allowed singing of the National Anthem on Sunday!
Congratulations to Cpl Burdess on graduating from the Air Cadet Leadership Course at RAF Cranwell.
Good to see Gp Capt Dale (Comdt 2FTS) in his finery, too

1.5 mile timed runs in support of Air Cadet Leadership Course applications. 1°C. Snow on the ground.
@RadleyFSocial
Arthur B barely out of breath after 3 laps.

section final drill practice for the Royal Air Squadron Trophy SW area competition on Sunday.
Amazing standard of drill - many thanks to
@AbingdonAirCdts
for their help
RAF Section
@aircadets
taking part in the (online) Royal Air Squadron Trophy area heats.
Sad not to do it in person, as we don’t get to chat to colleagues from other units; but still a great morning's work.

section at the Royal Air Squadron Trophy SW heats - haven’t been able to take photos in most of the activities but here is the inspection before the drill.
First aid stand - a Lynx has crashed, pilot is unconscious and bleeding, other casualties have burns, glass in wound, broken arm, shock...

@TheBHF
Sometimes boys think the tunnel from the kitchens to the mansion
@RadleyCollege
is a myth. Luis and I can confirm it’s not. Getting ready for drinks tonight to say thanks for the
#remembrance
parade.
RAF section drill- shortly afterwards they bravely ran inside out of the pouring rain…
Preparing for RAST and looking forward to taking on
@AbingdonSchCCF
again 😁
@aircadets
Also great to have newly minted Acting Pilot Officer Ford in uniform for the first time - he qualified for the marksman badge too, except staff can’t get one...
A *Combined* cadet force in action -
@aircadets
@SWRegionRAFAC
take note!
We work together on a lot of training, not just as three separate units.
Cadet JNCOs here running training for our recruits.
The Contingent Commander was delighted to present RSM Healy with his Cadet Forces Medal last night at a weapon cleaning and pizza party - the perfect setting for a man far too modest to want it presented on parade.
He's finally one of us...
A great day out at HMS Excellent in Portsmouth today
Cadets enjoyed learning all about firefighting on board ships and the damage control team exercise
