I almost died while giving birth to a child I wanted so badly that I spent thousands of dollars/years trying to get pregnant. The absolute horror of pregnancy, birth, and how I was treated only made me more certain that abortion is healthcare and should be a guaranteed right.

I gave birth at a Catholic hospital (only option in Cincinnati) and had to listen to the hospital OB disregard my life in favor of the fetus. My husband begged him to prioritize me. Our OB, a goddamn hero, made some quick, difficult decisions that are the only reason I'm alive.
