You will ban it in your own country then import grains from around the globe where it is still safely used, the same as neonicotinoid seed dressings. This is to the disadvantage of your own farmers and with no increase of public safety. Itโs mad.
Hands up I had a wobble when we had a massive Black Aphid attach on spring beans a few weeks ago. No insecticide used and these guys sorted it out. Sometimes the balance takes a while to swing in our favour but we need the keep the faith. ๐Farming
A watermill was recorded at Hawk Mill Farm in the Domesday book 1086.
A watercourse diversion in 1937 caused a lack of water to drive the mill meaning it fell into disuse.
Today for the first time in 85 years corn grown on the farm was milled again, a history spanning 936 years.
Canโt believe how many hours we wasted in the black & white years topping rape stubble so the ploughman didnโt have the embarrassment of some sticking out of the top.
Establishment now done in full colour.
Whilst many will be abroad looking at machinery โฆ

spring wheat blend.
Farming is life ๐.
Drilled to early, no essential cultivations, wrong seedrate, no essential seed dressings, no glyphosate, no insecticide no fertiliser placement and grown with all that fancy fashionable companion cropping crap. This crop will obviously always be compromised.
Whilst the self-appointed internet Eco Warriors sit in the warm behind their keyboards many of us are actually making a difference.

โโฆ. the idea of reducing N is disturbing to most individual farmers and agronomists as there is an understandable worry of reduced yields.โ
Am I strange that I look upon this as an exciting challenge?
Sprayed a 24 acre field of wheat
๐ค It contained many partridge, pheasant, skylark, hares + a hunting short eared owl
It produced flowering catch crop for foraging ๐๐ฆ between Aug & Oct
Itโll produce wheat for ~250k loaves
Grown & into store on ~5 car tanks of fuel

Last year 100% of my arable land had one flowering โcropโ in the growing season, another 43% had two (beans and rape).
No tillage and virtually no base P & K for 4 years.
The thinnest land on the farm. Catch or cover cropped at every opportunity, residue always returned.
Not a bad way to enter a cropโs rapid growth stage IMO.
Just spoken to the service department of a large East Anglian Ag machinery dealership. Their engineers go home at 3.30 on a Friday. Itโs Aug 6th
