Humble day! Cadet Selby is facing a number of challenges both in his personal life & in school with autism. It has been very humbling to sit & chat with Arron about his coping strategies, that will help him in school to create a positive learning experience. Phenomenal young man.
Sadly my time as Sarn’t Major of the Cadet Training Centre has come to and end. A fantastic two years spent working and meeting fantastic people delivering the Cadet Experience, thank you to all I’ve met and worked with for time and support.
The HO of RSM’s is now complete

As you may seen this morning I found out an old army friend sadly took his own life due to mental ill health. I saw this picture and I thought there is no better time like the present to post this. Please keep an eye on people you may have a concern over. 💂♀️💂♂️💂♀️💂♂️

Throwback Thursday! Welcome back Cdt Lightfoot. This picture was taken when I was cadet of the month.The Cadet V&S played a very big part in my life. Throughout my military career I have continued to live the ethos of “ The standards you walk past,are the standard you accept. 💂♀️
Job 478 of leave! Cleaning out one of the sheds today and I only found this little blast from the past. If you know what it is just “like and RT”. 🤫. Let’s see where the knowledge gap sits. 🤔🤔🤔🤔
Sadly my time as the RSM of the Cadet Training Centre has come to an end.
I’ve had a fantastic time working and meeting fantastic people delivering the Cadet Experience, thank you to everyone I’ve met and worked with for the time and support you have given me🫡💂

Throwback Thursday. EDUCATION. If you have kids who are struggling with dyslexia,the greatest gift you can give them is the sense that nothing is unattainable. With dyslexia comes a very great gift, which is the way that your mind can think creatively. If I can do it,any one can.
D-Day has arrived! The stage is set
@CTCFrimleyPark
ready to receive 64 senior cadets from all over the uk. What a weekend we have planned for them. Key speakers on key topics & giving the cadets their say. Watch this space! Even you might get your say at the conference!💂♂️💂♀️💂♂️
Once again I need your help to push this far and wide and help if you can. This is truly devastating news.
@andyunwin01

Happy Valentines!I hope you are doing something nice with your loved one tonight. After leaving my card out for Mrs L like a good boy.Or no! Dyson decided he wanted to personalise it with his own creative flair! So if your loved one says “My card is in the dog” it might just be.
As people around the world light their candles, we join them by lighting this virtual candle for LCpl Brodie Gillon. Our thoughts are with her friends and family.

Motivation Monday. ROLE MODEL. I had a amazing opportunity to speak to a young cadet last week. As we were chatting I soon realised I was looking at myself 28 years ago. Cadets are great imitators, so give them something great to imitate. Be the positive role model,some need it.
While you are all running around and doing cool stuff with the

today. I am on stable duty! “If you think you're too big for small jobs, maybe you're too small for big jobs.” Keep your feet on the ground and never forget your roots.💂♂️✈️⚓️
Motivational Monday.COURAGE doesn’t always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day, saying, “I will try again tomorrow. Remember the pen that writes your life story must be held in your own hand. Whatever you do today make a difference and succeed. 💂♂️💂♀️💂♂️
EMPOWERMENT. We all make mistakes, have struggles,& even regret things in our past. But you are not your mistakes,you are not your struggles,& you are here NOW with the power to shape your day & your future.Empower this generation of cadets,they will lead us to a brighter future.
We couldn’t be more proud as a County today. Well done Cpl Johnson. You are an inspiration! Thank you
@reallorraine
for your support. We look forward to welcoming you to Cheshire once all this is over.

@CSM_DACF
for enduring my average dinner chat. I’m genuinely impressed with these people.
What a week! A pleasure hosting the Master Cadets. A great deal of courage shown by all who took part over a week of activities. Proving that they had the qualities required to pass the Master Cadet course.

Throwback Thursday! 1998 in RUC Woodburn. Team please meet Pte Lightfoot. This is when I was less gray and I had curtains for hair. What motivated me then? The same as now, A sense of service, duty, pride and each other. Forging friendships that will last forever.💂♀️💂♂️💂♀️💂♂️
Throwback Thursday. Planning the next move! Sometimes as a leader can be a lonely place to be. When in command subordinates & commanders look at you for that “next move”. If your actions inspire others to achieve more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader.💂♀️💂♂️💂♀️
Talking to your cadets and adult volunteers about how they’re feeling can be hard. By taking 20mins with them could make all the difference to someone. Cast your eyes over these questions to help you on your way. 💂♀️💂♂️💂♀️💂♂️

Training day today! Exercising early in the morning offers both physical & mental wellbeing. Exercise also promotes endorphins in the brain, which can elevate an individual’s mood & help them start their day off on a positive note. So keep moving to keep positive.
