Birth control pills PREVENT pregnancy. Take it once a day, at the same time, everyday. The 'morning after' pill is an EMERGENCY method (after unprotected sex or when birth control fails). Take it as soon as you can, <72 hours after unprotected sex, and not frequently.

(Maternal mortality ratio of 30/100,000 in Malaysia). If a women does not want to take that risk, it is permissible by Malaysian law to have a safe abortion
