No, our crews didn’t cut down a tree to celebrate the holiday. This massive tree on Canandaigua Lake reaching 100ft tall & 3ft+ in diameter unfortunately was damaged by the winter storm. Our field team is still engaged and will continue working until every customer is restored.

is opening the David F. Gantt R-Center, located at 700 North Street, as a warming center and temporary warming shelter. The center will open at 9 a.m., and remain open around the clock for as long as it is needed.

We’re working to restore power as quickly and safely as possible through the continuing strong winds and harsh conditions, which is causing travel and restoration challenges. There are ~15,400 customers without power. Please limit travel unless necessary.
A warming shelter will be available tomorrow for those who remain without power at David F. Gannt Recreation Center (700 North St, Rochester, NY 14605). It will be open from 9am to 9pm.
Always stay away from downed power lines. Even lines that appear dormant can be deadly. Refrain from removing tree debris that may be entangled with downed power lines.

A large number of crews are working on Ridgeway Ave to restore power to customers after yesterday’s storm. We expect to restore the majority of impacted customers by midnight tonight.

Recently, three electric meter technicians demonstrated their exceptional commitment by assisting an elderly RG& customer. Mody Bouare, Tom Elliott, and Joe Miller assisted the customer after a storm, removing branches that fell on her plants. We are always at your service.
We’ve placed 330 additional crews across our service area in anticipation of Winter Storm Elliott. This weather has the potential to cause power outages by bringing down trees and limbs.

Safety is one of our top priorities. Recently, our electric field operations crew gave a "live line" demonstration to the Webster Volunteer Fire Department, equipping them with helpful information on how to handle certain emergency situations.
Today, our team held a drive-thru food collection to benefit

and collected more than 400 pounds of donated canned food and other non-perishable food items. Foodlink is an invaluable resource to our community and we’re proud to support them!
Today’s outage appears to be a result of an issue on the transmission system. Company personnel are currently working to identify alternate feeds and we expect all customers to be brought back online shortly.
