Also, I’m going to join
@theori_io
soon. My job would be writing some lectures, making some challenges on
@dreamhack_io
. + guaranteed to have some time for individual study. ;)
Damn, this book is GOAT. It's better than finding random stuffs on the Internet. Now I feel like I'm *really* studying...
Thanks
@grhkm21
for finding this awesome book
I think I spent too much time on the last challenge, by a stupid mistake...
The level 8 was the most difficult, decent and interesting.
Whatever, gg :) Spent ~16 hours in total

I'm really glad to announce that I'm now the member of the team Super Guesser (
@GuesserSuper
)!
Every member is passionate, and the mood of the team is encouraging!
I got positive on both PCR and rapid antigen tests. 🥲 The afterparty was very fun, but it is time to pay the penalty for meeting people w/o masks in this COVID era
Uploaded my simple differential testing tool for Qualcomm Hexagon stuffs
It's not that great (tbh, bad), but you might be able to find out how to use/access Hexagon toolchains here
I couldn't play a lot :(
Solved: Silver Water Industries, OLLVM Crypt, OLLVM, PYCOIN, Touchy Logger (w/ VoidMercy), lwsr, and WhatTheHecc.
Still I'm happy about getting first blood on 4 chals
btw I solved these challenges with teammates:
Crypto Chall, Secrecy, Too Many Secrets, Old School (only the last part), router-nii (with brilliant guessing)
I guess UTCTF organizers usually don't play other CTFs. There are many ways to hold a good beginner-friendly CTF. The quality of CTF does not depends on the difficulty. Do not excuse like that.
@sqrtrev
We have overwhelmingly positive reviews from beginner teams and extremely negative views from top tier teams. Not everyone is a CTF veteran and it's important to continue hosting beginner-friendly events.
Finally finished thinking out challenge ideas… It was full of pains.
My crypto challenges in this pbctf will be fun, but not that difficult [1]. At least it will be better than my pbctf 2021 challenges which I just directly copy-pasted from some papers 🥲
[1] Maybe false.
ziggypop: I ran a local instance three times with GDB to communicate with the server, and then decrypt the flag 🤣
I'm not a big fan of dynamic analysis, but I was too lazy to reverse AVX512 insns
It's really hard to understand some people kinda justifying what happend in this finals. There were numerous issues during the CTF, and I can see that most of those could be prevented before the CTF. Let's just admit it, no more excuses.
