he really did not need to do this like some sort of flip trick over a manhole cover on flat was probably all that was necessary for this kind of shoot. Tyshawn is a show off and I love to watch him show off.
Day 2 for Hispanic Heritage Month is Sammy Baca, skateboarding's best representation of Chicano culture. Sammy's ender from Baker 4 is an all timer and the story behind how much work he had to put in is even crazier. He went back 27 times for this! For the little homies, homie.
@willystaley
if you're more than just mildly disappointed about not having free drinks at a wedding maybe you should do some self reflecting about your relationship with alcohol
Hispanic Heritage Month Day 26: Steve Caballero. Cab is one of the most iconic skaters from the 80s and a member of the bones brigade. This clip is my personal favorite of his. This was a 44 stair boardslide that was for a bones bearing video Class of 2000. He would have been ~35
I had never heard of Davey Sayles before these clips but had a very visceral "whoa who is that" reaction to the couple clips he had and paused the video to find out. I really like jumping back over the fence he ollied over
Louie's newest part features some spots Tyshawn had also skated. First spot is technically just a table but it really shows the difference in their skating. Pure athletic power vs. technical skill
Hispanic Heritage Month Skater Day 4: Matt Rodriguez. Matt Rodriguez is a Sacramento legend known for his loose trucks and flowing style. Here is his part in the now infamous 2006 Ipath Promo.
Hispanic Heritage Month Day 30: Paul Rodriguez. P Rod is one of the greatest street skateboarders of all time and there's no other way to say it, he's the 🐐. His part in Yeah Right was the first time I had really seen him and its still one of my favorite parts of all time
I got the idea for Hispanic Heritage Month to post a clip highlighting a different Hispanic skater every day. Day 1 is Future 2022 SOTY Louie Lopez. Louie is like Here is the insane ender from his Seize the Seconds part. we stan a king in volcom.
Hispanic Heritage Month Skater Day 9: Miles Silvas. Miles is the guest on the Bunt this week so I thought this would be a good timing. This sw backheel down Wallenberg was his ender from the Primitive video Encore from 2019 and took him 5 separate trips over 4 years to get.
Hispanic Heritage Month Skater Day 11: Milton Martinez. The 2019 SOTY is known for kickflipping into the carwash but this clip is the first time I went "who the hell is this guy, he's fucking crazy". I know he's a little too hellride for some people but I really enjoy his skating
so we have a guy who is better at skateboarding than everyone else, the most athletic skater of all time, a guy who skates like he doesn't care what happens to him and a guy with multiple rape allegations in the running for SOTY this year.
Hispanic Heritage Month Skater Day 5: Omar Salazar. Omar skates at Mach 10 and seems to be always doing tail scrapes. I gave myself crazy razor tail after watching his First Love part. This is one of my favorite clips from Mind Field, the spot looks so much fun.
Enjoi was a great brand but they're a great brand that maybe should have gone under 10 years ago. I guess this means we're never going to get that enjoi ad coffee table book. RIP
