The terrorist atrocities 9/11, Manchester Arena, 7/7, Paris etc were all met with vigils, books of condolence and widespread outrage. The terrorist attacks last week in #Israel have been met in Belfast with celebrations and support for those who carried it out. I’m ashamed.

#OnThisDay in 1988 the IRA attempted to murder Ernie Wilson, a school bus driver/off duty UDR by planting a bomb under his bus. It exploded in Lisnaskea, Fermanagh, as he transported children to school. The driver resuscitated a seriously injured schoolgirl in the wreckage #OTD

50 years ago the IRA planted 3 bombs in the small village of Claudy, County Londonderry. An indiscriminate and sectarian attack that resulted in 9 innocent people being murdered and many more injured and traumatised. Never forget!

Let’s not forget that 10 months after this atrocity the IRA returned to the Shankill and placed a bomb 20 yards from the Frizzells bomb site. That’s how sorry they were for murdering women and children.
