Please remember I am my Wife's Carer and I run this project from home unpaid. Just had someone proudly text saying they have thrown a perfectly good bike in a skip because I took too long to collect it (3 days) I am working as fast as I can...thank you all for your understanding.

A very polite young lad knocked the door with a flat tyre. Found him a tube and fitted it for him while showing him how to do it. Tightened the numerous loose bolts on his bike to make it safe to ride and off he went. #freebikes4kids #community #cycling #bmx #mtb #charity

Last night,after only just spotting a teenage lad on his bike... in the dark.... dressed in black....I turned back to give him some Free flashing LED lights I had in the van. Half expected to be told where to go,but he was really polite and grateful. #Freebikes4kids #community

I heard that a young lad in my area had his bike stolen a while ago. Bigger lads took it from him. It was a nice bike that he saved up for and he hasnt had a bike since. This is pretty close to the bike he had taken...cant wait to give it to him later. #freebikes4kids #community

When I was a kid we always had bikes,so did all of our friends. Since starting this project I have met 12 year old children who have never owned one at all. The look on their face when they get a recycled bike is one of pure joy. Every child should own a bike. #freebikes4kids

20 years ago today I married this beautiful woman. For the last 10 years she has struggled with poor health and chronic pain due to sudden onset Neurological defecit. Our lives have changed but I have never loved her more or been more proud. Happy Anniversary @Rachchavette X

Sadly the Freebikes4kids cycle storage unit in Oscar Side Business Park Newport was broken into last night, three ready to donate adult bikes were stolen, two Carreras and a B'twin without a seat post and seat. Bikes that were to be gifted for FREE to children in need.

My grandaughter Leylah is one of the bravest people I know.....horrible infected abccess....hugely swollen face....general anestetic at 4yrs old. Absolute hero....never moaned once. Home now after two days in hospital on a drip .....bless her.

This lovely donated Trike belonged to Daisy May . She was diagnosed with Rett Syndrome at the age of 2 and a half. She had a wicked sense of humour and the most loving personality . Daisy passed away very unexpectedly and peacefully at home,aged 18 . December 10th 2018 .....

If you are forced to leave a job (in my case a job of 22 years) to become a Carer to a family member...you will be paid £67.25 a week. Your new job is 24 hours a day,possibly for the rest of your life. Carers deserve a proper wage. Nobody chooses this and it can happen overnight.
