I can’t quite believe how quiet the world where I live has become. No cars, no jet trails to scatch the heavens, only the sound of wind in the trees and VERY LOUD bird song. The natural world seems oddly unperturbed by Covid19.
Today should have been the start of this year’s Grand Tours with usual team back on the road. Sadly Covid19 has put an end to that plan for the foreseeable future anyway. A first world problem I know but disappointing. In the meantime, here’s a pic of where we should have been!
One of the joys of the west coast- watching dolphins play from a boat. How sickening then that the Faroese slaughtered 1400 of these beautiful creatures yesterday. Unbelievable
Late afternoon in the Menteith hills above Aberfoyle looking towards Ben Lomond and the Cobbler. The air was SO Clear and not a cloud in the vault of heaven!
Phew... Finished! Very Happy to say that the new series of Grand Tours starts transmitting on BBC One Scotland at 19:30 on Monday and weekly thereafter! We're in Wester Ross and Little Loch Broom in programme one.
The all new, singing and almost dancing series of Grand Tours of Scotland's Lochs starts tonight on BBC One 7:30 with a journey including lovely Loch Sween, mighty Loch Awe, and Ben Cruachan. There's beaver in there too!
