@TrueSlazac First of all, Israel didn't initiate this war. This is Hamas' doing and planning 2. Most of the aid given to Israel isn't directed to Israel's conflict Palestinians, it's to deal with Iran and the AoR as a whole. A major portion goes to missile defense procurement and R&D.

@RottenInDenmark Military ops occur in phases. The 1st phase focused on Northern Gaza, so Israel requested people to move from there. The 2nd phase of the ground op includes Khan Younis, again, requesting civilians to move from there. These are concrete ways to try to minimize harm to people.

@denimneverdies Which hospitals were bombed? Israel launched ground incursions and sieges around hospitals, it struck the vicinity of hospitals, it hasn't air struck a hospital though. What happened in Al-Ahli was a misfired rocket that killed a lot less people than Gazan MoH initially claimed.

This is a controversial take for some reason, but yeah, this should've been the idea from day 1: allow the IDF to distribute aid as long as it doesn't endanger the troops. IDF has trained on scenarios where it distributes aid to civilians in combat zones.

@babadookspinoza Kinda sucks that Hamas uses ancient mosques and hospitals as cover, just like ISIS did. The anti-ISIS coalition also resulted in many civilian deaths. Here though you have 40k enemy fighters in a much smaller and a much more fortified area, covering themselves with civvies.

@protosemite Israel doesn't need a right to exist, it just needs to exist. Rights are debateable and abstract concepts, while de-facto existence is undebatable. Israel will continue to exist. You can always join Hamas, Hezbollah or the IRGC if Israel's existence disturbs you so much.

Hamas used that time to create insane infrastructure that can only be dismantled through sustained war. Israeli ideas of deterrence just failed
