I talk about anime and manga. I love art and photography. Cream sodas are beautiful π§ I hate on things that deserve it. I block bots π€ Status: Writing βοΈ
This is the fantasy story I'm working on. If you have the time please give reading it a try. I'm new to writing so treat the story as a rough draft. This post will serve as the thread for chapter updates π
@SlyPerformer
Himmel ultimately cared less about a static romantic relationship with Frieren and more about her developing emotions and connections with people. Throughout the entire show their group did things that confused Frieren because they seemed trivial. Himmel was trying to teach her
@relatablepanels
I understand people thinking this is sexual in nature, but clearly Denji is not thinking that way. In this moment he realizes the value of having someone you care about close enough to call family. He wanted to protect her from being scared
@Moshichanwon
@kiikazuu
Has nothing to do with race dude. It's all culture and how people act within the society of the country they are living. People looking to move to another country need to respect it's social norms and it will not be an issue. Japan doesn't have illegal immigrants the U.S. does
@SuperBoJackson
There is comedy is someone being so blatantly and unapologetically unhealthy. Same would go for someone being overly healthy and obsessive over their diet
@FAKanojo
I never understood how it even happens. Did your parents not tell you to talk with adults or strangers when you were young? Like wtf did you expect talking to some random weirdo online that's 10 years older than you
@justmeight
You made it 10 chapters man, that isn't what the whole story is about in the slightest. The fucked up setting is established early on so that you can understand why Guts became the man he did, and how he later will change. This take is disingenuous asf, read it and be fair
@ShitpostRock
Most casual people probably didn't even know he was a boss. The only way to get to the area where his bossfight is by using a quest item or by finding two hidden medallions that let's you access a secret large area where a teleporter to his location is
@CloudMonkeyTWT
Gooner shit aside, it frustrates me that this LN got as much attention as it did. It really shouldn't have received art at this level in it's adaptations. This romance seriously sucks ass in comparison to others
@KZXcellent
3 chapters isn't alot to work with, but it's not gonna be as bad as everyone is saying. Lukewarm take ik, but everyone shonen ending gets hate because fans habe never written their own story, let alone have a unique thought regarding storytelling
@Wolfzee11
These predators are monsters, but beating the shit outta them isn't gonna change much. They're just gonna be careful next time they target a kid. There should be ways to use your evidence from predator hunting to either get them locked up or sent to a rehabilitation institute
@miracables
The fingers are very inconsistent, the right hand's point finger looks broken, the thumb is too big, the pinkie is too long, the ring finger disappears. The colar of the shirt has a loop for a belt and random buttons on it. Right ear is lower than the left. Still hard to tell tho
@BrandonRTalks
He missed the entire point of Himmel's character too though. He's not supposed to be a romantic interest for Frieren. His purpose was to be a catalyst for her to discover human emotions and to form connections with others. Himmel cared more about making her whole and not a robot
@Hilk241
@CloudMonkeyTWT
Love is War, Horimiya, Insomniacs after school, My Dress-up Darling, Fruits Basket, Clannad, Love is Hard for Otaku, Skip and Loafer, My Love Story!!, Your Lie in April, Bunny Girl Senpai
@SlyPerformer
The series only gets more and more interesting from this point on btw. Once I hit this point in the novels I legitimately can't think back and remember a part where I wasn't constantly engaged in where the story would go next.
@justmeight
It's fine if you can't handle dark themes, but saying it's all SA is just disingenuous. It's there for a reason not just as fetishism for the sake of it.
@hotshot_amoeba
@anonbirdd
Being a critic means being prepared to take criticism yourself despite your beliefs. If the actual reason for him taking a break it due to the Sneako drama idk what to say, unless you're getting death threats it's just an opinion. It doesn't really matter if it's bad or not
@KGLordofhollows
@SlyPerformer
I don't think I said anything that supports your argument. Himmel not finding a new partner was in-character, he legit has no reason to do so plotwise as it would undermine the lengths he went to in order to humanize Frieren. I understand it's unrealistic, but it is romantic
@KGLordofhollows
@SlyPerformer
He was content in his "failure" to convert Frieren into someone that openly displayed her emotions. In the end, she didn't even visit Himmel til he was an old man and never displayed feelings for him until she cried as he was put to rest. He had no reason to pursue anyone else
@KGLordofhollows
@SlyPerformer
Dude just because I'm saying Himmel is a plot device doesn't make him any less of a character with his own motivations. Him dedicating himself to helping Frieren discover the importance of connections with others is his legacy. You are seeing things in black and white
@Moshichanwon
@kiikazuu
Sure many Japanese might think that way, but not all and the woman in the video is an example of that. Given how much the internet has allowed cultures to be exposed to one another, I'm sure many young people in Japan will come around to the idea of foreigners in their country
@Moshichanwon
@kiikazuu
I'm well aware that many Japanese don't want foreigners to immigrate to their country, that's an entirely different situation. I was talking about foreigners that are moving to a country like Japan acting appropriately with social norms. Not sure how that wasn't clear to you lol
@KGLordofhollows
@SlyPerformer
Himmel didn't want someone else; his purpose to himself was Frieren, and that doesn't make him a tool. He was in love with her obviously, but her becoming someone capable of loving is what he wanted for her. No one would want to marry someone who displayed no signs of affection
@ogblynz
If Rudeus died on Earth by committing suicide in highschool, when he was getting viciously bullied, by virtue of him being a teenager at the time of reincarnation the story would suddenly be morally acceptable to these people. Like you can't redeem yourself past a certain age?
@kcincina
@kiikazuu
You can't be serious right now man. This race shit you're worried about isn't the problem. It's cultural differences that are the issue. People simply need to respect the country's social norms when they decide to live there. The color of their skin means absolutely nothing
@LavenderGhast
The problem has always been on us. We shouldn't have ever taken game journalism seriously. Now they think their opinions matter more than the consumer
@kcincina
@kiikazuu
I disagree, if they allow foreigners to become honorary citizens through the proper channels, citizenship tests, etc. I think those localized will learn to respect the cultural differences of the country and act appropriately. They don't have an illegal immigration issue
@SlyPerformer
From a narrative standpoint he's correct without a doubt. It's the perverted antics that turn people off to the show. The whole "mental-age" arguement aside, some people just don't wanna see Rudeus be a weirdo.(although it makes sense for his character given his previous life)
@SlyPerformer
Most people that hate on Demon Slayer are pissed their favorite series doesn't get this level of quality; that's why they get whiney and say it looks like trash. While yes Demon Slayer is narratively average it's not so bad that it doesn't deserve quality animation
@SlyPerformer
@ChibiReviews
I hate to disagree bro, but Frieren is definitely beating most anime these days. It's main selling point is it's highly approachable
@3rdlegy
Nah just reading some manga week to week isn't as good as reading a bunch of chapters all at once. I didn't like p2 at first, but after dropping CSM for awhile and returning to a backlog of chapters I enjoyed it much more.
@lesundone
Bro...the whole point of Gojo's character development was changing from viewing himself as a god, to then viewing himself as equal to other humans. He saw non-jujitsu sorcerers as "creatures" same as Geto viewed them as "monkeys". He lowered his ego in the end π
@t4tdinonuggets
@CEOOFMT
The power-fantasy aspect is very much overblown. There are multiple instances where Rudeus would have easily died if not for plot armor. This is even more true if you are caught up on the LN. Rudeus's power plateaus; he gets help from others to develop magic to strengthen himself
