Well down to Ms Cunningham for donating plasma. The plasma helps people who have illnesses like cancer and have contracted COVID, as the plasma contains lots of antibodies it is used to help them fight the virus. The process of donating is fairly quick

Congrats to Ms Moodie for sponsoring a little girl in The Gambia to purchase her school uniform and books. Ms Moodie decided to write a story to inspire her and the other children attending the Bojang Tamba School in a small village called Lamin. The book has now been published.
Year 7 have been working on a gadget tidy project this term! Just look at some of these outstanding examples! It's amazing being back in the workshop! Well done!

Congratulations to our Y10 students on their amazing achievement of coming 2nd in the Women in Aviation 2021 Final. They have been fantastic ambassadors for the school in delivering their ambitious STEM multimedia presentation to the London City Airport Panel of Judges.
Next week we start off our five Open Events on Tuesday 10 September from 6-8pm and Thursday 12 September at 9.15am-10.45am. With PLS having its best ever GCSEs yet again, we are anticipating a high volume of visitors.

We were pleased to welcome the Master and Clerk of the Leathersellers' Company to PLS to meet with students & staff in the Secondary and Primary phases. The Master and Clerk were particularly interested in hearing about the anti-racism work that is taking place across the schools
For national UK Parliament week, students were given an opportunity to meet with Vicky Foxcroft MP for a Q&A session to learn about her career in politics, what issues she feels are important and how her work will make the borough better for teenagers. Thank you

Mr Hand led an assembly for year 10 & 11 students today on staying safe in the local community, and making smart decisions. We believe it is important for schools and other local organisations to stand up against the rising tide of violence on our streets.
