Here’s mine. I have two meters in my business. Jointly, currently, £21,000. Quoted to go to a combined £91,000. What on earth do I do? 🤷🏻♂️

Martin, independent family business man, Nathan, here. I own a factory shop which has walk in freezers & chillers and various chilled & frozen displays. My annual electric use has been £21k. My new quote for a year long contract is £91k. Please help. UK businesses need help 🙏

He should be marked UP by his bosses. Didn’t cause any harm to play whatsoever. Conducted the moment perfectly. Common sense rather than playing it to the letter of the law.
Told all staff they’d be getting an extra £100 in their wages next week. They’ve worked so hard recently and they deserve it. Gives me a buzz to give such rewards, only wish it could be more. With the pubs & restaurants opening next week they can all have a meal, or two, on me 🍻
@MartinSLewis
It’s nuts. My business has no other financial concerns. I have no loans, no debts, business is in fact very good. We’ve had a great summer. A single utilities bill should be no concern to a British business in the year 2022. It’s shameful what is happening.
@Classicbritcom
Brilliant, a real favourite of mine. By chance in London we stayed in a hotel on the same street he used to live on. Here’s me last Wednesday. Made my day passing this.

Back to the studio where Danny Murphy points out his lack of tracking back as Brighton get their consolation. That’s an aspect of his game he needs to work on says the ex Fulham man...
18 years ago I was a welder working in ship repairs hating my job. Did 4 days work cash in hand (🤫) delivering fish to London for a mate. Never picked my welding screen up again. 9.5 years ago I started work at Premier Seafoods. 4 years ago I bought the company

Great talent. What a line up with Kenny Everett taking a back seat! This week I ‘started’ watching the Jonathan Ross show with Claire Balding, Nick Frost, Katherine Ryan & *looking it up* Samson Kayo... What a time to be alive 🤣

Now what you going to do? Twitter is full of people saying enough is enough. Every thread is full of angry people saying Boris is c- -t but what is actually going to happen?

Absolutely incredible that anybody involved with a 2022 Premier League football team knows who Basil Rathbone is/was. Gob smacked. Absolutely fantastic and well done that man 👏👏👏
Visited my grandad today. Forced into a Siberian concentration camp by the Russians as a teenager. Liberated by his fellow Poles. Joined the war effort fighting at Monte Cassino. Unable to go home as the Iron Curtain fell & settled in Grimsby. Became a fish filleter on the docks.

Done. There you go have a £45 ticket on Premier Seafoods Ltd. Make some noise and make sure you’re not playing Scunny next year! 🐟⚽️🐟⚽️

Great to see this getting air time. Classic case of medical expert (one on the front line, not a TV celebrity one) talking to a politician who holds a post of which he has no knowledge of. I’m not anti-vax but this is good to watch as it completely questions the media’s narrative

Yes I often think back to my late 70’s / early 80’s childhood & getting chased off the streets by miserable old gits for playing football outside their houses etc.
The life an 80 yr old in 1980 had lived just cannot be understated really can it. An incredible generation 👏👏👏
@jamesjammcmahon
A lovely post and it’s not about you at all. You’ve written there on behalf of us all. He was there longer than some of our grandparents, parents & friends, now passed on, have been there. The memories are of safeness, love & warmth. Reposting that. The sentiments are spot on 🙌
Laid with my dad keeping him company November 2016. He only had about six weeks to live. Thankfully he saw me buy the company in August 16. He made me the man I am and every day I open the shutter I do it for him. I will always do him proud. He was my hero. Cheers dad xx

For goodness sake stop giving airtime to these doctors & experts. We know a 3rd wave is likely but of cases not hospitalisations & deaths. Time to stop inviting these people on. All they do is give you click bait views for your social media but I guess that’s what you want LBC?
@HairyBikers
The last episode was a joyful yet sad watch. An excellent yet emotional hour. Si’s bond with Dave truly was a genuine love of very best mates. Fly high Dave. Hope to see Si back on TV one day when he’s good & ready. Cancer is a cruel disease. RIP Dave & RIP my dad 💙

My rule is simple: feel ill? Stay completely away from the job but do not install the app. Only had one 10 closure (back in January) since the start of the pandemic. I’m not having anymore.

What have we become with one another? Pointing fingers and arguing if it’s in or outdoor eating. It’s just a post trying to drum up some business for an independent company. If I’m ever in the area count me in. That pizza looks delicious.
@henrywinter
I disagree. I think the standard of punditry is low. Very cliche ridden and you can pick holes in the comments of the team that you support and know about. Other sports commentators give more insight than the football ones.
@LUFC1992_v2
When we was relegated in 1960 it took 4 years to get back in the top flight.
After 1982’s relegation it was 8 years.
After 2004 it took 16 years.
How old are we all going to be in 32 years time then?
I’ll be a sprightly 81.. happy days!

This guy was in the Championship team of the year last season. He has 50+ international caps and we don’t have to sign him permanently should it not work out. An absolute perfect signing for us. It’s got win/win all over it. This is why I’ve had patience all Jan. Great work

This company I now own was embezzled out of £250k & close to closure in 2014. Over 2 yrs I worked my pants off as the new manager. I earned it all back, paid off all debts & in 2016 bought the company off the former owner. We’ve improved every yr increasing profitability annually
This photo has been doing the rounds on Twitter. Supermarkets, once seen as the saviour of the high street, are constantly ripping us off.

The look & pose the Queen is giving there looks so unfamiliar that it looks photoshopped. That’s not to say I don’t believe it happened. Was always said she had a wicked sense of humour.

Absolute rank bad management all round having Paddy on spot kicks. Staggered to think the decision was made to let him have them. Complete ineptitude all round. A season summed in a passage of play.

I love tweets & replies like the ones here. A perfectly reasonable tweet about a £3 increase in a particular jar of coffee that leads to everybody stating various degrees of obviousness. This tweet sums up Twitter now. Surely Helen knows other brands/supermarkets are available 😆

You are a very fine presenter Dan but you’re blinkered if you don’t see that they give their opinions far too often when reporting the news. It’s come in over the last couple of years and reflects poorly on the channel.

Not sure if I’ve ever used politics to win custom but I did vote to remain if you need to know. I’m only 47 & I’ve only ever known being part of the EU. Having links with European suppliers was key to my remain vote. I voted with my head not my heart. I buy both 🇬🇧 & foreign fish

After seeing our Rick do this at his concerts for years I feel like this is the day he sold out and showed everybody how amazing he is!!! That’s it for me, I’m done with him 😄😆😁 Go on Rick ⚡️⚡️⚡️
We are all set for Seafood Week. Here is a tour of our shop. It won’t take long to watch but you’ll whizz past about 30 fresh species on the ice & another 200 products in the chillers and freezers. We’ll have free samples all week some come in and have lunch on us if nothing else
The job is tough at the moment. We are open & turning money over, I don’t believe I have depression, I’m not ill, I don’t work in the NHS, caring or education sector yet I have found this lockdown very difficult. Sometimes it’s not the just the ‘go to/obvious’ folk that struggle.
A Norwegian deep sea trawler just came down Riby Street and dropped off a couple of fresh halibuts for next week. A lovely autumnal morning deserves a nice little delivery as such. I’m off to get some help… 😂😎🤣

I was pretty average at school, left at 16 and went straight into work (1990) Retrained at 30 years old in my current career and bought my own business 4 yrs ago. Smashing it everyday without any uni help. Wish I could employ school leavers but they have to go to college.. 🤷🏻♂️
Today I saw on email that a customer who complained about a salmon delivery has now complained re the batch sent to replace it. I personally picked out the 2nd batch, not my employees, so I know it was perfect. Gets you down customers scamming you when you’re an honest business.

I yearn for this kind of writing now. One story, 50 minutes (?) job done. No impossible to follow harrowing storyline over 5 series of eight episodes or some such nonsense. McShane, Sutton, Cream of TV star guests, great outdoor scenery, 4th wall acting. Your dad did a great job.

I find it a refreshing change to watch football without needing a mega bucks subscription.
BBC1 & ITV never have sport on now midweek between 7-10pm ~ it’s all soaps & drama which aren’t my cup of tea.
I love films, sports & comedy. BBC1 & ITV never show these Mon-Fri 7-10pm now.

Fining people for going to work is where Drakeford peaked for me. The guy is off his rocker. Boris Johnson only has two things going for him right now - he’s not Drakeford and he’s not Sturgeon!

What I don’t get is why we’re all getting money put into our domestic accounts? Why can’t we do it the old fashioned way of just paying lower prices? Why are the government giving us money (again) to help pay our bills? Why don’t they force the companies to bring the prices down?

And that’s the thing isn’t it. All the outrage seems to come on Twitter but in our *real* life so many people just seem happy to continue with these restrictions. 100 people could reply to this tweet saying how angry they are but, c’mon, the vast majority just carry on conforming

Footballers have been hugging each other ever since the German footy came back last yr. They should be told under no circumstances to do anything other than fist bump the opposition after the game. Mind you he’ll probably test negative tomorrow as the tests are not very accurate.
I’ve £30k seafood going on couriers nxt wk. All on a wing & a prayer. All with companies with free reign to burn anything they can’t be arsed to deliver. It’s a worrying business strategy
I need couriers as professional as my own employees. Should it be such a hard ask in 2022?

Supply chain here. All customers orders well down in Dec. I blame the ‘experts’ this time. The Govt let everywhere stay open but Whitty & Co’s advice to stay away was out of order. The Govt should have pulled them in line and said you leave the politics to us at the briefings.

this afternoon. Emma called to catch up & keep me informed about a project we joined forces on in July. It was a highlight of the year for me so far. She really is the nicest person. All Leeds aren’t we 💛🤍💙
The end of an absolutely crazy month is within touching distance. The last week has been quite overwhelming.
We go again for one final time on Xmas Eve 6am-midday. Come & get your prawns before we bring the shutters down and call it a day, a week, a month, a year, a wrap for 2021
Going to Leeds this afternoon to move all of our Daisey’s stuff from one place to another.
She’s half way through her Uni course & moving accommodation today.
When she’s home she joins us working in the family business.
She’s a real grafter & we’ll miss her in September 💛🤍💙

Eh? Things clicked WHEN Bamford became available.
He was one of the main catalysts of our 6/6 winning run which has gone onto be 8/8 since his injury. The team is all the more better with an in form Bamford in it.

This app thing is solely down to users choice
I’d suggest any employer getting a call from employees on the back of a bit of tech on their mobile needs to seriously question their staff. During the past week the only thing they’ll come down with in self isolation is sunstroke☀️🍹
