Update for those who have been following my wife’s medical condition. Her surgery went very well yesterday without any complications. However, the surgeon stated that it was the worst case he had ever seen. I am hesitant to tell my wife that part. She is resting comfortably.

Thirty years ago today, my wife and I went on our first date. A college football game with hot chocolate. We followed up with some delicious pizza and wonderful conversation. As I look back, after 27+ years of marriage, I wouldn’t change a thing. My life has truly been blessed.

Today would have been Bob Marley’s birthday. He was taken way too soon, at just 36 y/o, by a rare form of skin cancer. As I continue my own cancer journey with Multiple Myeloma and a recent diagnosis of skin cancer, I am reminded of his quote that strikes close to my heart.
