Ever owned a Cavalier Mk1? Soon after the Opel Ascona (on which it was based) was launched, the 1975-1981 Cav was supposed to get unique bodywork and its own cabin. In the end, it was mostly identical to the Ascona - aside from a longer bonnet and that ‘droop snoot’ front.

Wolseley version of the 1975 18-22 series. Thanks to Moulton's Hydragas, few cars rode or handled as well at the time. Sadly, like many other cars of this period, it victim to the oil crisis, shonky build and industrial unrest (but unlike others got rather unfairly picked on).
