@AlpacaAurelius Never ever use soapy water on cast iron pan. My Grandmother taught: wipe out excess grease with paper towel. Pour a bunch of coarse salt in. Scrub it with dry p towel or scrub sponge. Rinse with warm water. Rub with coat of oil to re-season.
