super pleased to announce that my experimental short film, "darling, mister graphophone" has been selected for the l international bornova short film days festival, turkey, 2024!
this is what my last personal newsletter was about! if you ended up missing this one, you can always sign up for the next one through the link in my bio!
confessing your love is so embarrassing. like yeah iโm in love with you and i deeply admire you and appreciate even your smallest mannerisms. yes i wanna be with you in every life for the rest of time. whatever
thinking about the time vicky kaushal was asked "what do you miss about being married" and he was like "fortunately the miss is now my mrs." like he really said i'm the captain of the Loving My Wife club
the first time i watched it i got so overwhelmed & cried. it still makes me feel extremely seen to the point it feels personal. i will always love her.
i love poems w/ the most simplistic language & formatting that packs a strong punch- i want my poems to be Wendy Cope's The Orange, or Ellen Bass's The Thing Is. A poem that could just be a conversation from my daily life, but still punches me in the gut & stays with me forever.

"Are You There, God? It's Me, Bug." โ A poem born out of a

this poem is called "fester" by phoenix tesni, or alternatively, "i've been so severely depressed & holed up in my room lately that i can't make any good art out of it."
in 2019, olivia gatwood & blythe baird were in bombay for spoken fest, & we were doing a little poetry workshop with them. one of the exercises was to take a mundane, everyday object & describe it without its actual name. for an autorickshaw, people came up with "kissing booth."
in another life i am born into generational wealth & i fully indulge in my creative pursuits. i write & i travel to as many places as i can & i eat as many new things as i want & i blog about them. i make new friends & i photograph them, and i model for my photographer friends.
all this being said, upcoming poets & authors like me are so grateful for new litmags that are run by teenagers / young people with no funds whatsoever- simply out of their love for words and to provide a platform to people. always super grateful.
had the loveliest day at delhi reads today; time & again i'm reminded how important & crucial poetry is for me & for the world. thank you for giving me a space to meet the most gorgeous people in delhi today!
Just finished this movie, & it's quite possibly the best action-comedy I've watched all year. I went in for the castโ Jo Jung-sook (Hospital Playlist) & Im Yoona (Girls Generation), but it turned out to be excitingly engrossing every single minute & hilarious at once. 10/10.
possibly not the best time to be posting this poem at 5 am, when almost all of my mutuals are asleep. but i wrote this now, and it's called dawn. so here goes.
one of the strongest benefits of readingโesp fiction, is that it develops empathy and compassion for perspectives different than yours. it lets you live lives that you cannot live otherwise, lets you see things from a point of view once inaccessible through your own experiences.
i donโt want to be rude genuinely, but why is discussions about literature getting reduced to I donโt feel seen or represented? why is it that relatability is the most important thing a book can offer you?
New Delhi, this is Kutty. Does anyone have the resources to raise him? He's been my best friend for the past decade. Due to severely unforeseen circumstances, we're having to rehome him. He's 9 years old & is not neutered & unvaccinated. Please RT for reach.
polyamorous people are like "i like falling in love with multiple people!!" & then monogamous people immediately feel the urge to reply with "if that were me i'd murder my man. like i'd go to jail for torturing him & then i'd dรฏe in front of him. also ur sense of love is warped."
the second picture made me feel some type of way, so i looked it up & they're from Devic Fotos, a duo who work on wedding photography. this shoot is for a couple named Hannah & Dustin, shot in the week leading up to their wedding day. these pictures have me in a trance.
if day 1 was about loneliness, today's poem is about long distance friendships, imaginary jenga nights & platonic yearning.

i saw the prettiest girl in the entire world today and then i really wanted to tell her and i thought i wouldn't be able to but she accidentally stopped in front of me SO I DID and then she started laughing all shy & then i started stuttering like a gay idiot
every conversation with my cat goes like:
- you're very tiny
- do you know how tiny you are
- who authorised you to be as tiny as you are
- did you know your ears are even tinier
- incoherent noises
