Watch this video to find out how and why our early childhood shapes the adults we become.
An epic snowball fight on field between
@sheldonschool
&
@HardenhuishSch
during which our head of religious studies walked like Jesus into no man’s land to bring peace but was knocked out cold by a stray snowball leading to whole school detention
Thanks for the lovely comments and reaction to my knighthood yesterday - sorry I couldn’t keep up with them all. The award reflects positively on all

Tomorrow marks my 7th anniversary as

The contrast between the microscopic, tortoise-paced procedures that applied to Covid-related grants to charities & Treasury instructions to forego almost all counter fraud checks so that cash arrived with business fast has always puzzled me
I’m sure I speak on behalf of thousands of Childline volunteers and staff, as well as her many friends across the wider

Embarrassing moment at a Whitehall meeting today when, having completed my intervention and decisively muted myself to await the Minister’s reaction, instead I accidentally pressed the “end call” button

Never thought I would host the biggest ever meeting of
@NSPCC
volunteers and staff since the days of Princess Margaret from my back bedroom. Thanks to the hundreds who joined this morning!
I thought that was a good ending. Culture matters in organisations - a poisonous culture that rewards weakness at expense of moral purpose is more realistic than unveiling some individual puppet master
#LineofDutyFinale
Just made gargantuan post-lockdown donation to the local
@oxfamgb
shop via their back door and bought
@nazirafzal
‘s book via the front. Winners all round
Apparently yesterday’s shirt was too conventional. I changed into this one after my chainsaw lesson this morning. Every day is different as a Charity CEO
