I largely ignore Jamies agenda to stick the boot into the UUP (because I know he has an agenda and its a little embarrassing). Interesting he hasnt called out the DUP who voted for this in the other 10 of 11 Council areas. Never let the truth get in the way of a good propaganda

The Ulster Unionist Party in Ards & North Down have joined with Alliance & the SDLP to vote for the implementation of the Irish Sea border. All other unionists opposed this. But with the UUP’s collaboration, nationalists secured a slim majority for Protocol implementation.

@JamieBrysonCPNI Jamie, victims are involved here, and you make a bizare link to the Westminster Framework/Protocol deal. Jeffery wasn't the only unionist who wanted NI to have a government, infact those polls you love prove that. In a difficult day for unionism, have some self-awareness.

Being Unionist shouldn't be about talking to ourselves, it should be about convincing everyone in Northern Ireland that the union with the United Kingdom is precious, and this wee country is precious. Only one party can do that, and its @uuponline and @BeattieDoug

The fault line for Jamie is (1) He fails to see The Framework is already being implemented. (2) He doesn't acknowledge the only way to challenge this is through a functioning Executive. (3) He can't grasp the damage currently being done to unionism through failure of government.

The fault line for the UUP is (1) the Protocol Framework dismantles the Union; (2) the whole basis of pro Agreement unionism (principle of consent) has been shown to be a fraud. So upon what basis does unionism now credibly endorse that Agreement?

I'm fustrated with some language over recent days. The vast majority of loyalists are in no way involved or linked to criminality. The term 'dissident republican' is used to disassociate terrorism & crime from wider republicanism. Why is this not the case with loyalism? 1/4

Two very different leaders and two very different parties. Both have the right to hold their views, and its up to the people of NI to decide who represents them. Don't vote out of fear, and for 'more of the same' at the next election. Vote for hope and better politics.

Every Unionist needs to understand the reality of the situation we are in. We are hemorrhaging votes because of a negative brand of unionism. The brand needs to change, and we need to deliver for the people of Northern Ireland. We can only do that in the NI Assembly.

Plenty of evidence that sectarianism still exists in our society. From loyalist singing in a bar, a GAA team on a bus, the crowd at Feile, loyalist flags, and images burnt on both 11th of July and Internment bonfires. It can feel like a depressing race to the bottom.

As a unionist & somebody who cherishes the royal family I wish people wouldnt retweet or acknowledge the minority of idiots who make vile & disrespectful comments. These comments should be ignored. Leave these people in their bigoted echo chamber, and dont tar a whole community

Breakfast with Mrs Wray to celebrate. Alchemy in Greyabbey is top notch as always. Important to shop local in the Ards Peninsula.

Brilliant day out in the fresh Portavogie air! This morning I joined volunteers for the LiveHere LoveHere Big Spring Clean. This afternoon I delivered more leaflets, and watched Portavogie Rangers beating Donaghadee 3-1 🙌 💙 ( @JamieBrysonCPNI refused a selfie opportunity)

A couple of hundred more leaflets delivered tonight. I was called 'The Happy Wanderer' by somebody tonight. If that's the worst I get over the next couple of months I'll take that 🙂💪

Northern Ireland and your constituency needs leaders who can deliver positive change. Vote for hope and not fear on Thursday 4th of July.

During my first week it was important to me to visit my friends at Portaferry Mens Shed. I've worked with this group for many years and I have so much respect for them. They are a cross community group who focus on friendships and encouraging positive mental health. 1/3

It was a real privilage to participate in Acts of Rememberance in Cloughey, Portavogie, Ballywalter, Greyabbey, and Ballyhalbert today. I feel honoured to represent Ards and North Down Borough Council, citizens of the Borough, and the @uuponline . We will remember them.

People should vote for hope and not fear. Vote for somebody you trust, somebody who inspires you, somebody you believe will work for you, somebody you share a vision with. We need a #UnionOfPeople and we need to remove the DUP and SF gravy train which has failed everyone in NI

Over recent days Ive been working intensively with the local PSNI in what has been a very challenging time. Their commitment and dedication to serve and protect the community of Ards&NorthDown has blown me away. Ive complete confidence in them and I appreciate all they do for us

My colleague @RobbieButlerMLA speaks of HOPE not FEAR. That's what I'm about, and that's what the @uuponline is about. Instead of perpetuating fear and bitterness, I want to be positive, and i want to be solution focused #HopeNotFear

Everything about my campaign is going to be about what I can deliver, and why I can be trusted as a valuable asset for the people of the Peninsula on Ards and North Down Borough Council. Positivity and relentless are the two words I'm focusing on 💪

"Northern Irelands place in the Union benefits from a functioning Stormont. Secondly, that unionism needs to present a positive argument which showcases how Northern Ireland gains from being part of the UK." Let contributions like this from @1PhilipSmith drown out the negatively

As I say in my article in @News_Letter , unionism must stop sawing off the branch we're sitting on. The Union is a success, it's here to stay & is capable of attracting even more support. But we need to make Stormont & NI work better

Thanks to colleagues for doing a canvass for me tonight around Rivenwood. As a party we are a family and a Union of People. On Ards and North Down Borough Council I want to replicate the same sense of kindness, and commitment to helping others.

I hope everyone celebrating enjoys the 11th and 12th of July festivities! Unfortunately, quite a few Community Fun Days have had to be postponed due to the weather, but that gives us something to look forward to later. Be safe, be respectful, be kind to others, and enjoy 🥳 🥁

Unionists and loyalists have been left behind in many respects. I'm pleased we have a candidate in North Down willing to engage with everyone and represent them. Equality means everyone should have a voice, no more and no less.

I want to make Ards Peninsula work for everyone. My local priorities are clear, and I have a plan to achieve them. Happy to elaborate on any of these either online or in person. Ill be bringing my energy, enthusiasm, and 'thunder' into the final month of my campaign. Let's go 😉

Happy 10th Wedding Anniversary to my beautiful Heather Wray. Best friend to me, and best mum to the wonderful children we have accumulated in these first 10 years as husband and wife. Here's to many more 🍾🥃 (many more years that is, not children) 🤣 Love always 🥰

Unionism is maturing and becoming relevant to many who tuned off a long time ago. Pacts would be a backwards step for the @uuponline and indeed a backwards step for Unionism in general. They won't, and have never worked. Better politics and creating a union of people will work.
