@castlvillageman Irelandโ€™s purpose in joining the EEC/EU was to open new markets and escape economic domination by the UK. It has been a hugely successful strategy, helped by the ineptitude of Brexit. It should push on rapidly with further investment in ports and ferry routes. Finish the job.
