Another day, another blocked "Bridleway." This time, the owner of the house came out and told us. "... this is no longer a path and hasn't been for 10 years" She was correct of course. It's a Bridleway!! Reported to Wilts.

I know, probably a dozen farmers, and none of them would behave in this way. This action just further creates a 'them and us' with regards land ownership and access. Without a doubt, if the camper was asked to move on, he would have without issue. 2/2

EVERY trip we make, we find yet another footpath blocked. From both sides, this was inaccessible. I asked the owner on the at the road side end as he was in his drive: "No mate, definitely no footpath here." Turns out.... (1/2).

We're all a bit shocked in Whitewick Towers. Sadly this little dude at only 2.5 years old took his last trip to the vets. We noticed he was struggling for breath. A sharp visit to the vets, diagnosed a bladder blockage and 2 hours later he was gone. 😥

I love the work you do Chris, but be assured, HS2 was absolutely an investment in existing the rail infrastructure and some. It's ability to remove the express category from the existing network gave us an entire upgrade on that existing network. 1/2

At the end of this weeks video, there is a little speech and montage of 55 clips. Various clips that highlight what I am saying. There is a clip that lasts 1.3 seconds with a trans flag in it. Of 667 clips used in the film, people have taken issue with that one clip.

The hedgerow (middle shot) marks a Roman Road that joined Winchester to Cirencester. At the end of the copse upper most is "paveys grave" and example of a crossroad grave still on @OrdnanceSurvey maps today. Lower shot is an ancient forest used for hunting as far back is 950ad

The issue of people understanding what Right to Roam means (I.e not walking through your back garden), is not helped by the fact so many aren't aware of just how much land is not for you and I. (Read the comments in pic 2, relating to pic 1). They simply don't see a problem.

I am told the PM has now taken the decision to shelve the Manchester leg of HS2. Confirmation, and detail of the re-allocation of funds to other transport projects in the north, will presumably come very soon.

BREAKING: The Stonehenge tunnel is going ahead. The Transport Secretary has granted a Development Consent Order (DCO) to construct it. A DCO previously issued for the project was quashed by the High Court in July 2021 amid concern about the environmental impact.

This is the utterly brilliant 29 locks of Caen Hill (16 in this straight section) which covers a gradient of 72 metres over 2.5 miles. It's to the immediate west of Devizes in Wiltshire on the Kennet and Avon Canal. @CRTBoating @CanalRiverTrust @BBCWiltshire @VisitWiltshire
