Had quadruple bypass heart surgery Thurs., July 11. It’s been an honor to be a patient at the University of Minnesota Hospital. These people are amazing. Dr. John performed the surgery and all the support staff have been tremendous. The people here are amazing.

On behalf of my family, thank you to everyone who has reached out to us about my mother passing away on Monday, March 8th. She was an exceptional mother/grandmother/wife and person. She will be missed by many, but her legacy will live on for generations. RIP mom.

Nancy and I received a precious little blessing this morning. Her name is Collins Jean born at 8:19am. She’s 7lbs, 7 oz. 20” tall. Mom and baby are doing just fine. Kyle and grandson Weston(15 months) are also well. Thank you God for everything.

Today is the 60th anniversary of my father’s 4 consecutive Home Runs. He hit homers in his first two at bats in a 5-2 win against the White Sox at Yankee Stadium. His first and second were pinch hit homers against the Red Sox days earlier. Love you dad! RIP!

Fred Roufs, president of MN Baseball Association, died TUESDAY night while hospitalized in Sioux Falls. He had been diagnosed with COVID-19 in late November, recovered, but then was afflicted with Guillian-Barre Syndrome (sometimes called ''French polio").

Baseball is simply a game. When the focus becomes something else...(pleasing a parent, scholarship, etc), performance is reduced and the fun is stolen. Encourage your son/daughter to support their teammates, listen to their coaches and play with 100% focus to help the team win.
