Literally pricing out working class students. Maximum student loan is now £9978, leaving £822 to live on. Durham don’t allow you a job for more than 12 hours a week if I remember. Students with additional needs who require an en suite bathroom will need to pay more.

it’s literally becoming impossible for working class students to live in college. maximum maintenance loan is just over 8k, and esp given Durham culture, there’s a lot more expenditure than just your room. this is literally saying don’t come if you’re poor
