Going through my father’s things after he died 5 years ago, I found these little food poems he’d written. I keep them in one of my favourite cookbooks. They reflect the kind of basic cooking he had to resort to when Mom was gone somewhere.

Thanks to everyone who has enjoyed my photos from Puglia. This is our last day 🥹, so today’s pics are some of my favourite places in the city of Lecce, where it’s currently 22 C. But, sure, I can’t wait to come home. 😫
Letters to the editor can reflect divergent views in the community. As someone who lives here, I would rather know that such views exist and combat them, rather than imagine everyone is on the same page.
Congratulations to
@GeoffBudden
for his tenacity in seeking and getting justice for the survivors of Mount Cashel from the 1950s and ’60s. If only they had all lived to see this day.
Great news from
@WS_DianeCrocker
and a very hopeful way to start your day.

It would be a good idea to do your research before recommending vaccines. You could be held liable. So far more deaths from vaccine than COVID in US, UK, and deaths and adverse reactions reported in many other countries. Also no advantage still locked down.
This is riveting. And a big shout out to
@glenn_payette
on his last day at the CBC. I'm so proud of all the excellent work he has done as a journalist. And, oh — I'm pretty darned fond of him, too.
I'll have a bit of a rant in tomorrow’s

. The people of this province deserve so much more than political farce and cronyism-as-usual.
Had the nicest compliment on the weekend. A little boy I met while out walking the dog said, "How old are you? Because you almost look like a grownup."
Ha! If only he knew how long I've been one...
I love this absolutely beautiful piece by

Your time and energies would be better spent explaining what you stand for than bashing others. This is the kind of politics this country does not need.
