@jasonschreier Even at our small studio we seem to be on a one game per console life cycle schedule. It takes a long time to concept, prototype, develop, test, release, bug fix, port, bug fix, etc. Especially if you’re trying to do something you haven’t done before.

Anecdotally there are still plenty of normal people who look at 1080p vs 4K and don’t see a difference. Just like they didn’t between 720 and 1080 etc. Or even if they do see a difference it’s negligible and the price hike isn’t worth it. The same goes for 30fps vs 60fps.
