Hi I’m Paola, your friendly international lawyer, here to remind you that ‘preempting a threat’, in international law, non-propaganda speak, is called the crime of aggression. Thank you for coming to my talk.
White women have weaponized and will weaponize womanhood against men of color to serve their own racist interests. Babes, he’s not letting you finish because you’re a liar insulting him. If your only argument is ‘but but but I am a woman’ then it may be time to retire.
In Arabic nothing is more beautiful than the moon. When you tell someone they’re like the moon, it means their beauty and grace is unparalleled.
Our men, the so-called savages, digging children out of the rubble and finding the strength to comfort them with soft, familiar words.
When she asks if she’s being taken to the cemetery, one of the men who helped dig her out is telling her “what cemetery, look at you you’re like the moon!!”
I can’t conceive of the strength adults in Gaza have to still be able to comfort children like this
The court stating that reproductive rights violations fall under the scope of the Genocide convention and can be used as proof of genocidal intent is a huge deal. Intentionally preventing births fall under art.2 of the Convention.
We cannot accept the ongoing dehumanization of Palestinians, and cannot accept the dehumanization and vilification of Arab men. Israel and the West portray them as being non-human, beasts, intrinsically violent and sexist to justify their racist, violent policies against them. 1/
A lot of us started their (leftist) political education through the struggle for the liberation of
#Palestine
.
The Palestinians have taught us ‘sumūd’ - steadfastness in the struggle. A reminder to hold on when everything seems bleak. Especially when everything seems bleak.
The reproductive justice crisis in Gaza is horrifying. Maternal health, access to services, menstrual products, have become inexistent as health systems are being deliberately targeted and destroyed in a context of systemic violence and ethnic cleansing.
Brace yourselves, it’s March, Women’s History Month, breathe as the waves of white feminism hit us, self-congratulating for their tokenistic instrumentalization of women of color and their complete overlook of Palestinian feminists leading us towards collective liberation.
You know I think the international order is not on the brink of collapse. I think the international order is exactly as capitalism colonial white supremacy has ever wanted it to be.
ISR is bombing Lebanon while continuing to commit genocide.
The impunity that this genocidal and colonial state has recieved has led to the international system on the brink of collapse
I grew up with my parents telling us stories about Israel shelling candy or toy-shaped explosive devices in the South of Lebanon, and with seeing their friend who had lost a son this way. As a child I could not wrap my head around it. As an adult, I still can’t.
The tenderness.
We will never forget how Palestinians had to show their dead for ‘the West’ to believe they were being slaughtered by Israel. When said West was giving all the weapons for this slaughter and all political permission.
The Middle Eastern Christians had a meeting, all of us from the Maronites to the Chaldeans, from the Greek Orthodox to the Syriacs, we all agree: Israel’s invasion and mass killings of our people is an abomination. Don’t you fucking dare speak in our name.
Israel is not invading Lebanon, it is liberating it.
This is a historic moment, not only for the Israelis, but for the Lebanese, Arabs, and Eastern Christians.
To not understand this is to have lost all moral and political compass.

Respect! The Director of the NY Office of UN High Commissioner of Human Rights just resigned: “Once again, we are seeing a genocide unfolding before our eyes, and the Organization that we serve appears powerless to stop it.” Letter below-
‘Many c-sections and births “are being performed without basic medical supplies, or anesthesia and without any postnatal care.”
C-sections are procedures that require incisions through a person’s abdomen and uterus. With. No. Pain. Relief.
Gaza is a reproductive justice issue.
All the calls for the ‘Taliban regime to respect women’s rights’ uttered by the international community and all the ‘we didn’t come to nation-build’ are particularly hard to stomach this morning.
Terrible news from Mazar-e-Sharif: dead bodies of four women’s rights activists were found in the city.
Frozan Safi (in the picture) is one of them. Frozan’s relatives say she along with three others have been disappeared days before.
I keep thinking of the 50000 pregnant women trapped in Gaza. Of the 5500 women who were supposed to give birth this month. Pregnant in a pit of fire and furry, lacking every service, every bit of information they’d need, grieving and mourning, under amounts of unimaginable stress
I cannot begin to express how unbearable it is to hear them say ‘Lebanon is ours’. The expansive Israeli colonial project is right there in the open, and Western States and media are just out there doing their best to ensure it succeeds.
“This is Lebanon, it is beautiful. I love to go to Lebanon and stroll there, said Alon.
It is dangerous; you cannot go there; it is not ours yet.
Alon thought and said, Lebanon is ours.”
That’s what he’s reading for his child.
It’s a children’s book titled “Alon and Lebanon,”
Solidarity with our comrades in Ghana. This is a direct result of the growing Evangelical and far-right groups’ influence who are continuing to push for their reactionary agenda. Homophobia is not anti-imperialist: if anything, it’s yet another face of colonial heritage.
Ghana’s Parliament has unanimously passed a controversial anti-gay bill that prescribes a 3-year jail term for identifying as LGBTQ+ and a 5-year imprisonment for promoting LGBTQ+ activities. More on this soon.

It isn’t really. There is nothing revolutionary about not compensating reproductive labor. Class and other power dynamics must be taken into account in any legislation on surrogacy, but not compensating persons who act as surrogates for their labor is another form of exploitation
Women don’t want to have to be resilient, brave, strong, hold up half the sky and whatnot. We want the fall of the patriarchy, we want an end to capitalism, we want sovereignty over our body, we want to dismantle racism, ableism, colonialism and militarization. We want a free 🇵🇸
People of the US: as you’re drowning, as you have no infrastructure, no universal health care, no quality public education, as you’re drowning in students’ loans, have no reproductive rights and are facing a major housing crisis, this is what your money is being used to do.
It’s terrifying that they need to showcase their humanity to be awarded the right to be treated humanely, to be mourned, to be loved and celebrated. It’s terrifying that they need to be described as heroes so that Western audiences can see they exist in multitudes.
The way that ‘soldier’ is describing the abominable crimes he and his friends have perpetrated, you’d think it’s not them doing it. ‘We saw’ - no you didn’t just see. You did. You ran over people, by the hundreds, dead and alive and calling them ‘terrorists’ doesn’t absolve you.
Western feminism has actively participated in the construction of Arab men as being essentially backwards, misogynistic and violent, thereby justifying colonial attacks and violence against them in the name of women’s rights. Decolonial, intersectional
I keep thinking how no civilians were harmed yesterday: do you mean you can target military objectives, even when the Mossad command is in a ‘densely populated area’, without slaughtering thousands upon thousands of civilians? What a concept.
Iran's unprovoked attack came after Israel peacefully committed a year-long genocide, starved 2.1 million, carried out multiple assassinations, murdered 162 journalists/222 UN workers, launched large-scale terror attacks in Beirut, and invaded Lebanon. Why is Iran like this?

‘Feminist foreign policies’ and ‘prioritizing gender’ and ‘leaving no one behind’ but I’ve just heard on video the last breaths of a Lebanese little girl dying under the rubble after airstrikes you paid for. Spare us adding insult to injury with your panels on intersectionality.
The reproductive rights violations happening in Palestine are so horrific I cannot articulate them. I’m also out of words for all the bourgeois white ‘feminists’ whose silence we will never forget, nor forgive. May you walk this life drenched in the shame you so richly deserve.
Israeli occupation forces just bombed a house in Rafah. A pregnant woman was killed, but doctors managed to save the baby's life. Can you understand the absolutely horrific way in which this child was born into this world ?
If I hear ‘resilience’ one more time...People in Lebanon are done with the resilience myth, what they need&have a right to is dignity, life, access to services, equality&non-discrimination. We’re not doing the ‘strong resilient resourceful Lebanese’ skit no more, we’re angry now.
The ‘savage Arab man’/‘poor submissive Arab woman’ trope needs to be dismantled as a tactic of resistance against genocidal and racist rhetoric. We will not let femonationalism instrumentalize women’s rights to justify the bombing and attacks of our countries.
I see people engaging with the ‘why don’t Arab countries take in the Palestinians’ and, with all due contempt to Arab governments, why do Palestinians have to move or be forcibly displaced anywhere or be ‘taken in’. It. Is. Their. Land. No amount of occupation can change that.

Imagine reaching this level of depravity and presenting yourself as the leader of the free world. The lack of self-awareness is mind-blowing, and only equal in measure to the West’s inability to see brown people as humans.
I mean Gazans say it was an airstrike, but who knows? Maybe it was lightning? The wrath of God? A fabrication of their minds? Most importantly, have you condemned Hamas today?
If only Western ‘pundits’ and ‘analysts’ put half of the energy they are putting into building a career off the back of our suffering into holding their own governments accountable for their leading role in mass international law violations, we’d be in a much better place.

I’m ashamed to say that until today, I didn’t. But now I do. I do, so so much.
But when you see sheep in religious art, they're never Fat-tail sheep. Instead they're always weak-ass European sheep. Entire wars have been waged over interpretations of the bible.
