The Board of Management of Patrician Secondary School are delighted to announce that, Mr Pat Moloney has been appointed as the next Principal of our school community to take effect from 1st September 2018.
After 32 years in Newbridge, Mr Padraig Gill teaches his last class this afternoon.
A long time occupant of Room 2 on the green corridor & a significant presence in our staffroom, he will be missed for his teaching, coaching, advice & slagging.

Massive congratulations to Ross McHale who has won the U18 Zurich Portrait prize.
He was awarded the prize for 1st place at a ceremony in the National Gallery last night.
It is a self-portrait in oil paint, and it took over 2 weeks to paint.
Some half-back-line! Past pupils James, Peter & Colin have captained their clubs Moorefield, Two-Mile-House & Milltown to Senior, Intermediate & Junior titles - something unique & a first for the school.
We wish them & the clubs well in Leinster.

We would like to pass on our sincere condolences to family and friends of Adrian Melia, on his untimely passing. He photographed us many times & will be sadly missed from College Park & the gym. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
It is with great sadness that we have learned of the passing of our former colleague & friend, Noel Enright.
Noel was caretaker for 16 years up to 2011. He always went out of his way to help everyone, no task was ever beyond him.
He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Mr Moloney congratulating Justin Cunningham, who received eight H1’s in the Leaving Cert. results, placing him as one of the top students in the country.
Our school had some excellent performances with over 25% of the exam cohort receiving in excess of 500 CAO points.

Our school captain, Rory O’Donnell, has worked part-time in a nursing home for the past 2 years.
Last weekend, residents & staff received the first course of vaccination.

In front of nearly 9,000 spectators, Dylan won on stoppage by armbar in Round 1. He represents SBG Ireland under head coach John Kavanagh.
