With deep sadness we have learned of the passing of one of our children. Dean "Deany" Bandavanis, a 2nd grader at Sycamore Creek, passed away Monday after a battle with cancer. Our hearts go out to his family, friends, & teachers. Keep them in your hearts & prayers.

With great sadness we have learned of the passing of Pickerington High School Central English teacher Melanie Begley after a lengthy fight with cancer. Melanie will be greatly missed in the district. Please keep Melanie's family, friends, and colleagues in your prayers.
We are saddened to hear one of our students drowned at a summer camp in Ashland County on Wednesday. Melvin Aborbie, 12, attended Diley MS last year and was to attend Ridgeview JH this fall. Please keep Melvin's family and friends in your prayers during this difficult time.

Pickerington High School North was placed on a precautionary lockdown this morning while we investigated a rumor. All students and staff are safe, and the rumor was determined to be in accurate. Fairfield County sheriffs office was on the scene assisting with our investigation.
PHSN recognized the top 10 students of the class of 2019 today. The Decem Decori designation is given to the 10 students at each high school with the highest GPA. Read more:

The official times for this year's high school graduations have been announced.
Graduations will be on Saturday, May 25. As in the past, both events will be at World Harvest Church on Gender Road.
North's graduation will be at 1 p.m. Central's graduation will be at 4 p.m.
In light of the severity of the tragic incident that occurred today, all classes in Pickerington Local School District will be cancelled tomorrow Friday, February 3.

The State Champion Pickerington High School Central football team celebration will now be held in the PHSC gym. The celebration will begin at 7 p.m. on Wed., Dec. 20. Due to limited seating inside the gym, arrive early to ensure a seat.

PLSD are thrilled to extend a special thanks to Porters Coffee House and Bakery for donating 100 backpacks this week! After asking their customers to donate school supplies, they also donated many boxes full of binders, notebooks, folders, and more for our students!
