Beautiful walk this afternoon, finally the paths are dry! Last 15 minutes not so good as a man decided to stop and walk with me and ask me things like do I have a partner. Not the conversation that makes me comfortable on a forest walk! Now I probably won't do that walk again...

I had a lovely chat with an older woman last night, a no voter, she made me realise, some people have such fear of the church they felt they had no choice. I reassured her that Ireland still stands for family we can now just care & support for women better. She grabbed my hand♡

@JoanMcGhee14 @PMc276 In the middle of a forest when there's a risk he could get angry to that. I've had many times in a crowded place over the years, where I've said to a guy... sorry, I'm out with my friends. I want to chat to them and received abusive responses. Not going to risk that in a forest.

@weeauldman @Aoifegiffyy @ElaineYoung94 @dublinbusnews That makes no sense at all. If a disability is deemed to be not genuine it would not be approved by social welfare. Having a travel pass means the person is deemed to have a valid disability visible or not. It's not for anyone other than SW or a medical professional to question.

Why can no one ever listen to the people who are living it! People with long-term conditions have so many extra costs. I HAVE to drive to a hospital appt as there is no direct public transport. I have to then keep my car on the road each year - petrol, insurance and so on!
replying on cost of disability and payments being too low @HHumphreysFG says we have to look at services and other supports. Hmmmm. But the cost of disability report itself shows 88% of people surveyed said increased income would be most helpful/helpful in meeting their needs.

@griseldamussett I'll pop in and let them know. Don't hold out any hope except being told not to walk there. They've never been too helpful when I've had to call or report before, but I'll do it.

Why can parties, groups, individuals just come out & say - PWD and Carers, we got it wrong, we didn't listen or engage when we should have. Instead of blaming the government. Honesty is something that we very much appreciate.

I never thought of the genetics in this way before. I don't blame people for being tall, I can recognise the role of genetics. It's time to recognise the role of genetics in obesity, which has a heritability factor of 70%. Far from the idea of eat less, move more #obesityforum

@wolfiewire Sick to death of people thinking people live rent free! Would love them to survive (barely) on 198 and pay rent (30ish), bills and food and then any emergencies etc... so many don't realise until they experience it. They think everyone is drug dealing on the side etc 🤬

@louiseckenny @climurphy Your reaction was of shock and you did tell him not to degrade women to that. I cheered, I think it was the only way to react as it was an insulting question to all women 💪
