The Open Source Initiative calls upon the Free Software Foundation to hold Stallman responsible for past behavior, remove him from the organization’s leadership and work to address the harm he caused to all those he has excluded.
It's been brought to our attention that there's an account using our trademarked logo and engaging in abusive behavior.
We are not affiliated w/ the account in question & are pursuing remedy. We are committed to fostering a vibrant, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all.

Congratulations but please watch your language: The license authorizes only some commercial uses. The term Open Source has a clear, well understood meaning that excludes putting any restrictions on commercial use.

The intro to the Hippocratic Licence might lead some to believe
the license is an Open Source Software licence, and software distributed under the Hippocratic Licence is Open Source Software.
As neither is true, we ask you to please modify the language to remove confusion.
RESULTS! Our Individual seat winners are Aeva Black and Catharina Maracke -- both new to the OSI Board. We are also welcoming Hong Phuc back and are excited to have Thierry Carrez join us a new Affiliate Board Member. Thank you all for your participation!

Without a single, standard definition of
#opensource
, software development as we know it would not be possible. There is no trust in a world where anyone can invent their own definition: without trust there is no community, no collaboration, no innovation.
A recent decision at the US patent office may well give patent trolls cause to steer clear of open source projects – even more than the fierce resistance the community impressively funded and mounted in the GNOME case.

Thank you to the
@Fedora
Project for their support and signing on to affirm the Open Source Definition:
Open source licenses are licenses that comply with the Open Source Definition — in brief, they allow software to be freely used, modified, and shared. To be approved by the Open Source Initiative (also known as the OSI), a license must go through the OSi’s license review process.
There are many definitions of "Open Standard". We don't try to define it ourselves, but we know that if you can't implement an Open Standard under an Open Source License, it's not open enough for us
We are thrilled to count
