I'm a wheelchair user and I'm so fucking tired of people leaving these bikes and scooters wherever they want. For able bodied folx it's an inconvenience but for me it means I have to walk out into a busy street to go around. These are my only safe paths. STOP DOING THIS
I can appreciate all the people suggesting I knock it over but unfortunately wheelchairs are not monster trucks with giant tires and high functioning shocks. I can knock it down but it will still very much be in my way
Please don't use disabled people like this. If I die and y'all show people a picture of me in my wheelchair like "his legs couldn't work but he kicked life in the ass every chance he got!" my ghost will haunt your whole family forever. Just say I was a good dude and pour a 40.
Show your kids this picture. Ask them what type of life they think this man lived.
Then tell them he couldn't write, but wrote a New York Times best seller.
That he couldn't talk, but his voice was powerful.
That he refused to let his limitations limit him.
RIP, Stephen.
If you'd like to learn more about the rescue beavers (there are three of them: Huck, Finn, and Sawyer) you can type in the YouTube channel listed below and see them all being very cute and sweet while doing their favorite jobs. Enjoy.
I see an odd number of people questioning why I said "walk" and I think it's mostly jokes which is whatever but just in case, I'm a C5 Incomplete quad, so I have sensation and some movement below injury but no walking. I just use common phraseology because why TF not
@hollis_jane
There's a lot here but magically transforming into a cleaning Nazi really took the cake. I want to talk to whoever actually took this job and how long they lasted lol
@possumnest
Was recently made aware that Colin Robinson (Mark Proksch) spent a year doing a bit as Yo-yo master "K. Strass" and getting spots on various local news channels and turning out gold like this
Bill Self's post game speech after the National title game. Incredible stuff. Family over everything. "Don't worry about the mules just load that f*ckin wagon."
@Jugglamaggot
This was in Arizona I believe! Someone else mentioned it so I looked into it and I guess there were 2. This dredged one was like lake pleasant or something. The Minnesota one seems to still be there as far as I can tell🤷🏽♀️
To be clear these beavers will be reintroduced into the wild! They stay with the rescuer for two years as they would their parents in the wild before moving to a beaver halfway house (seriously) with a pond to learn and practice in and then off on their own!
@zillowgonewild
For anyone curious to see more of this house they actually stayed there and cover it on the first episode of Amazing Vacation Rentals on Netflix

This is what really got me crying on a Friday morning. A few light shoulder touches just to make sure he was going the right direction. They weren't gonna let him fail and he was ready 😭😭
I was paralyzed from the chest down after an accident 8 years ago, but I started doing art to help myself so if you see something you like check out my little store ❤️
Look this happens every time, I don't know what photo evidence is gonna help y'all prove my blackness. Yes I've got my mother's eyes, you can figure it out lol
What's crazy is if you read the lyrics to the original song that Auld Lang Syne the poem is based on, it's basically the 1711 version of Somebody That I Used To Know
Before this goes any further cause I already got dummies questioning my blackness here are some pics for you in which (I guess) I can prove who I am. Yes I have privilege being lighter skinned, and no I don't self ID as "mixed" I ID as black because I'm black.
Unfortunately I don't make any cute beaver art but I do draw other things so let me plug my store real fast and remember to support all the disabled artists out there 🙌🏽🙌🏽
So it turns out this is actually from a play that Jerry Springer performed back in 2020 but now that it's gone viral there will be people who just live with and spread it as fact forever. The internet is crazy.

Sometimes that's not even possible. I've had instances where they're dropped directly in front of the only curb cut so getting to "the other side of the street" means rolling back an entire block and who's to say that sidewalk is accessible.
@Hanifkureishi
Hanif, Dain from Seattle, Washington. 9 years ago I fell and was paralyzed from the neck down. Like you, I found writing to be my only way through it. With a lot of work I picked up a pen again, and despite having never been an artist, started to draw. Amazing things can happen❤️
@_celia_bedelia_
The other texts make clear his "boundaries" were moving goalposts to become increasingly restrictive ("you deleted these pics/friends but wait there's more") and framing her reluctance to conform as her not caring about him/wanting a family is, if not abusive, WILDLY manipulative
Thank you for all the very kind responses to my drawings. I also write poetry for some of them if you're into that and hope to have some for sale soon!
I'm waiting on Vice to drop the Burger King drug money laundering expose because I got 40 nuggets for $5 one day no questions asked and I still don't understand
Honest question for journalists but what are the ethics around revealing this amount of detail for seemingly no public good? I just think I would feel like shit if I was asked to write this up. Outside of the cause of death who needs to know all this?
@ScottNover
Y'all are late to my guy Post 10. Check out his YouTube though for real. One of the most weirdly enjoyable channels ever. He has a ton of Civic engineering knowledge and just goes around fixing drains and talking about things cities need to fix. It's amazing lol.

20 year old Orson Welles directing an all black version of Macbeth (set in the Caribbean) in 1936 Harlem is the movie/limited series I want
