Ohio Boys Varsity Lacrosse Scores/Updates. Opinions are mine, scores are yours. UA/IL Midwest Voter. "In lacrosse, there are no shortcuts -Ted Wolford" 🥍🥍🥍
Your parents leave you with coaches knowing those coaches have your safety as a priority on and off the field. People like Aaron Feis exemplify this duty and will rightfully be remembered for it.
It is with Great sadness that our Football Family has learned about the death of Aaron Feis. He was our Assistant Football Coach and security guard. He selflessly shielded students from the shooter when he was shot. He died a hero and he will forever be in our hearts and memories
It occurred to me tonight that we often don’t have a full appreciation of the things in our lives until we lose them, if even for a short time. For the next 3 weeks, I’m going to post some stories of the things that made me appreciate Lacrosse.
This picture was taking in Ohio on Tuesday May 26, 2020. Very disappointing that groups can’t follow the guidelines of COVID-19. EVERYONE needs to do their part so we can play for reel come the OHSAA Fall Season!
Regardless of today’s scores, take a moment to reflect on this season. After losing last season, everyone came out and did their best to make this one a success! Here’s to all of you!
Coaches: Kids who cut out of the handshake line early are both a reflection of you as a coach and a reflection of how little they care about the game. I’ve seen it happen far too often so far this year.
I’ve been silent so as not to jinx anything, but it’s really been great to get back out on the field and to see everyone else doing the same. It feels good, doesn’t it?
There’s no easy way to deal with loss. For those of you who know Matt: celebrate the time you got to spend with him, that’s his legacy. Carry it with you.
If you’ve ever yelled “wheels”, “one more” or “come on, stripes!” at any point in the year - Happy Father’s Day!
If you haven’t said those things - also Happy Father’s Day!
For those of you following it, the Ohio House bill 492 has been re-introduced as HB82. It’s meant to help train coaches to recognize and help with the mental health issues of student athletes. Let’s get behind this for the kids!
If you asked me to predict the score of the D2 title game, 20-6 would not have been a guess for either team. Kudos to DeSales for winning the 2022 D2 state title.
I’ve seen some interesting things, but this week has probably been the most bizarre. You hate to see kids losing some or all of their season due to a health scare. Hopefully this passes so you can at least play some part of your season.
On the surface, these are clearly hall of fame worthy results. But when you look deeper, you have to wonder where Midwest lacrosse would be without the Wolfords. Congratulations!
It is with great pleasure that we announce Ted Wolford is going into the UA Athletics Hall of Fame!

. Your mental health is just as important as what you can do on the field.
I support HB492 to have coaches trained in mental health. The biggest obstacle to suicide prevention is we don’t talk about it. It’s Taboo. Let everyone know that they are not alone, there’s more support than they think, & this can unite.

@OHSAASports
when will mental health courses be required as a certification like CPR is? I’ve given ZERO CPR in 21 years as a coach but have easily tapped in to my mental health training 20 this last year and a half. Mental health training needs to be a priority for coaches.
Hi,
@PremierLacrosse
. We could use some good news this week. Maybe something centrally located, perhaps in Columbus? It seems we now have some availability...
(At least) One of you is going to do great things in this world. Hopefully one of those things is to convince the rest of the lacrosse world that the Midwest exists and is thriving.
The Central Ohio lacrosse community is heartbroken on the passing of Coach Bill Wolford. Coach Wolfords impact and commitment to our young athletes was incredible. Please keep the Wolford family in your prayers as we all process this incredible loss.
PERSEVERANCE: a thread.
In 2019, coming off his 3rd straight State Championship title with

, Greg Langermeier (‘20) was set up for a big year. An old school, tough as nails, two way midfielder, we expected “G” to be a workhorse for us, taking on any role we asked him
If you are a lacrosse person please join the challenge of posting a lacrosse photo. Just one picture, no description. Please copy the text in your status, post a picture and look at some great memories/pictures. Missing lacrosse so very much. Greatest game on earth!🥍🥍🥍🥍🥍🥍
This might be hard to believe, but there are times when lacrosse isn’t that important. How about we as a community show
@Dmoskowitz16
some support during this battle. Give it hell, David!
