Castlevania pushed adult animation in the US so farther than it had been. Not only that, Season 4's finale was one of the few times where I would not have changed ANYONE's ending. Everything felt true to the characters we fell in love with in the beginning, but with growth.

Job loss is trauma. My mental health is still wrecked because I had to move backwards in my career because I needed to pay bills. I still cry thinking about how I have failed my family even though being laid off wasn't my fault. I still internalize it.

Beyond the money, insurance, etc., the mental toll of being laid off cannot be overstated. I cried a lot when I was laid off (on my b day no less ha) – I worked so hard for the job, and it was gone, instantly. And 18 months later, the worry it could happen again still remains.
