) beats Jefferson on the road 11-6 to claim the 2021 Region 8-AAAA championship. The Titans will be guaranteed home field advantage during the early part of the Class AAAA state playoffs.

beat Benedictine 16-4 in game one and 10-0 in game two. The Titans will play for the Class AAAA state championship this coming Friday, May 20, in Rome. A possible rubber match would be held Saturday.

It wasn’t long ago that Anna Greer Vandagriff first started playing volleyball.
Now, the Prince Avenue Christian School senior is set to play the sport at the collegiate level.

FINAL: Prince Avenue Christian beats FPD, 41-22, to advance to the semifinals. Wolverines will play at Fellowship Christian next week with a spot in the state championship game on the line.

The North Oconee boys basketball team edged out Baldwin High School 65-64 in their 4A Final Four matchup. The Titans showed exceptional resilience in the face of a hostile crowd, and have advanced to the first State Championship game in program history. Congrats

FINAL: Prince Avenue defeats Bryan County 49-14 to advance to the state title game. Aaron Philo passed for 477 and four touchdowns and added a rushing TD. Hudson Hill caught two touchdowns, CJ Dockery and Nick Hurley caught one apiece, and Connor Causby rushed for two.

No. 2 North Oconee getting loosened up ahead of tonight’s 4A quarterfinal matchup with No. 1 Benedictine. Kickoff is set for 7:30. Follow along here for updates throughout the game, as well as updates from Prince Avenue vs. Irwin County.
Final: North Oconee beats Cedartown 35-9, earning revenge for last year’s semifinal. Titans dominated the fourth quarter. Landon Roldan had a long interception return and a 55-yard catch. Tate Titshaw and Trey Lenhardt scored rushing TDs to finish it off.
Dominic Elder Jr. was a spark the North Oconee offense needed against Madison County as he helped lead his football team to its second win of the season. Elder is out Athlete of the Week.

Final from the 2023 Hog Mountain Bowl: North Oconee defeats Oconee County 29-12 behind a physical and efficient rushing attack. Two rushing touchdowns apiece for quarterback Max Wilson and running back Tate Titshaw.
From the time he was young, sports were always part of Kevin Petroski’s life. Now, Petroski aims to make sports an enjoyable venture for the student-athletes at Athens Academy.
Final: North Oconee defeats East Forsyth 24-7 in a physical game. Quarterback Harrison Faulkner found Landon Roldan for a 10-yard touchdown with 1:58 remaining to cap the scoring, and Khamari Brooks sealed the win with an interception on the next drive. The Titans improve to 5-0.
FINAL: North Oconee girls soccer defeats Arabia Mountain in the first round of the Class AAAA state tournament, 12-0.
Kenna Kay and Katie Oh added goals in the last couple of minutes.
The last 30 years of Michael Dowis’ life would have looked much different without a conversation he once had with a legend. That conversation led Dowis to his current position as athletic director at North Oconee High School.

The 2021 golf season was a banner year for the high school teams throughout Oconee County. So far, 2022 figures to be another notable season of high school golf around the area.

Brodie Scott always loved basketball but, until the last few years, the game was not in his long-term plans.
It is now after Scott signed to join the LaGrange College men’s basketball program.
The North Oconee girls basketball team fell to Hardaway High School 57-44 in the girls 4A Final Four. The Lady Titans had an exceptional season, reaching the Elite Eight and Final Four for the first time in program history. Congrats
