My first primary school teacher died today. Mr. Kebba Jadama was the first volunteer teacher at Saba Primary when it was opened as a TESITO sch. in 1982. He taught many of us then without pay and has been teaching there since. May Allah have mercy on him and grant him Jannah.

The Gambia has never been led by older individuals. Jawara was 41, Jammeh was 29, & Barrow was 51. The absence of youth in leadership isn't the cause of our issues. Jammeh, youthful when he took over, proved to be the worst. What we truly need is a patriotic & empathetic leader.

I watched my cousin Tida Jaiteh (Baba Jobe's wife) on #TRRC . Pretty sad testimony. However, Baba was a victim of the brutal system he helped setup & utilized in some instances. He was not an innocent bystander by any stretch. This in no way excuse his torture & murder. #Gambia
