It is with deep sadness and great sorrow that we share the passing of Ms. Delores Tillman, our attendance secretary. Her presence in the Clipper Family will be profoundly missed. ❤️

OHHS put on its first ever Alternative College Fair where we introduced sustainable careers that do not require a traditional 4 year college degree. Over 170 juniors and seniors attended. It was most definitely a success!

This was

's LAST graduation as Principal of Oxon Hill High School. Just like the Class of 2018, he is docking his ship to achieve other ventures. We wish him well!

Our very own Walter A. Harley is the very first African American Band Director in the history of Oxon Hill High School. Mr. Harley arrived at Oxon Hill High School in 1994, and he is the second longest reigning (27 years) in its school band history.

We have baby geese on campus! Let’s just adopt them into the Clipper Family and name them “The Clippertons.”
Please drive through the parking lot carefully!
Yoooo!
@BigHomiePJ
won the National Grilling Challenge and will be heading to Ireland to compete internationally! He’s literally the best griller in the nation! Right now you can catch him at Nando’s but we believe he’ll be the Executive Chef of his own restaurant in a few years.
Clipper Claus happened today and Ms. Holland didn't mind being Santa. S/o to our SGA, art students, athletes, admin, teachers, and student volunteers for making this happen!

Mr. Calvin is retiring and says it’s time for him to travel. He plans to visit all 50 states and pursue other passions in cosmetology. Mr. Calvin has been an incredible art teacher at Oxon Hill and he will be missed!

If no one was aware, LaNia Mitchell is currently on NPR speaking about helping students with anxiety regarding the approaching school year.

Parents: Children don’t like to be “tackled” with questions. Have an open conversation if you’re wondering if a student is having problems at school. Good advice from

We have our flaws (and past news reports 👀) and things that we can change, but we are still one of the best schools in PG. We try our best to love our students individually, keep them safe, celebrate their cultures, and prepare them for the future.
Who’s seen the movie Hidden Figures? Mrs. Marie Whitaker, mother of teacher Ms. Angela Whitaker, was the keynote speaker for the Mu Alpha Theta induction ceremony. Mrs. Whitaker once served as a COMPUTER for NASA during the 1970s.

Teachers are human. We have feelings. We don't like to be disrespected, yelled at, or bullied. We get sick. We have families. We get tired. We make mistakes. Yes, we have many superpowers, but they don't always work like we wish they did. Please don't forget: teachers are human.
One thing about Principal Holland is that she isn't afraid to have fun!
Side note: Whoever has the video of Ms. Holland doing the nay nay with Silento needs to share it ASAP.
The coolest thing happened after school today. OHHS students test drove their self-built, fully electric car. They’ll be racing against other schools on May 19th!
