Pharmacist here😴 The difference between Diclofenac sodium and Diclofenac potassium is their response time. In treating acute and severe pain, Diclofenac potassium is prescribed since it’s a quick release while Diclofenac sodium is a delayed release. Cataflam is Diclofenac NA.

I worked in a teaching hospital in 2018, A woman gave birth, There was power outage and the hospital had no 50% d/w, no paediatric saline. Parents were broke. I rushed out of the hospital to get these drugs. By the time I returned, one of the twins was dead. I cried like a baby.

If u've ever watched a child with RDS die, u'll understand. They make this grunting sound cos they're trying to generate enough air pressure to keep their lungs open. With each breath, it gets worse, sometimes it feels like they have a hole in their windpipes. It's haunting.
