Let's hear it for former NH player Nick Smith, now one of top shooters and scorers IN THE COUNTRY in NCAA Division II. At Nova Southeastern in Fla., Nick is averaging 26.5 a game. He's No. 2 in country in 3-pt. percentage at ridiculous 70.8% (17 of 24). Proud of you, Nick.
Thanks to Penn State head coach Micah Shrewsbury
@PennStateMBB
for stopping and watching workout today at North Hills to check out North Hills junior Royce Parham
@RoyceParham
Coach Shrewsbury has some good things going on at PSU and Royce is one of their top 2024 targets.
Wow. What a finish - and Royce Parham becomes Mr. Clutch. After South Fayette took 61-59 lead with 4 seconds left, look what happened next. Royce 3-pointer wins it and he finishes with 34, 12 rebounds, 3 blocks.
A "Shak-ing" development at North Hills tonight. Look who showed up at for a workout.
Marquette coach Shaka Smart
@CoachShakaSmart

@RoyceParham
.
Oh, and Shaka offered a scholarship. Another big-time offer for Royce.
Big shoutout and congratulations to North Hills’ “Rolls” Royce Parham on reaching his 1,000th career point in tonight’s win against Moon.
Royce, a junior, reached 1,000 faster than any player in North Hills history.
This has never been said before in the history of North Hills High School:
North Hills is in Elite 8 of the state playoffs.
NH crushed Norristown, 77-57, in 2nd-round game today.
Alex Smith had 27. Royce Parham 22, 10 rebounds, 6 blocks, 5 dunks. Devin Burgess and Matt Seidl 13.

On AT&T Sports. They thought it was some movie star.
One of WPIAL's finest guards ever, back in Pittsburgh recruiting. Thanks to Xavier coach Sean Miller
@CoachMillerXU

@RoyceParham

Congrats to our own "Rolls" Royce . The record is now yours. Royce set a school record tonight. with 47 points against Pine-Richland. And he did just a few other things also. Check out his stat line.
A year ago, Matt Seidl was helping North Hills to WPIAL championship game.
Yesterday, he broke a 50-year-old scoring freshman scoring record at Washington & Jefferson. Matt leads team in scoring at 15 ppg. W&J finished regular season first in PAC.
Way to go, Matt.
Going through this section undefeated? Beating every team three times? That’s quite an achievement by North Hills. Who cares if tonight was oh so close against NA. Check out how close it was.
Sad, sad news for North Hills basketball. The man known to everyone as just "Woody" has passed away. "Woody" Woodburn was 9th grade coach for many years and longtime teacher in the district before retiring. Did so much for NH basketball. RIP Woody, you will be missed by many.
Wish every player would have a moment like this in their career. Memory to last a lifetime. North Hills’ Logan Johnson buries a 3-pointer with 1.5 seconds left off pass from Jackson Long to give Indians a 68-67 victory against Belle Vernon Saturday
Congratulations to North Hills football team on a terrific regular season. 7-3 record and tie for conference title. First conference championship since 2010.
Way to go, coach Carey and players. Playoffs next Friday.
One is playing in high school at North Hills, one is playing in college. But this basketball season, the Smith brothers of North Hills have been a "perfect" Brother Act.
Thanks to
@BREAL412
and Post-Gazette for story on Alex and Nick Smith. Check it out.
Neat factoid for North Hills softball. The last time North Hills was in the WPIAL championship in 2000, this year's coach (Libbie Gasior) was the starting third baseman for the Indians.
North Hills beat Hempfield, 4-3, in the title game.
Wyatt "Amazing" Mays goes clutch. Overtime against Central Catholic tonight. Game tied in closing seconds. Logan Marshalek finds Mays open in left corner and Wyatt drills a 3 just before buzzer to give Indians a 71-68 victory. Way to go Wyatt. Indians still alive for playoffs.
What a tough one tonight vs. Fox Chapel. North Hills down 10 at the half, comes back for a 67-62 win. And how 'bout the "fresh face" Eric James? Scores 30.
Thanks
@NorthHills2023
you are great!! Best in WPIAL. And thanks to all the fans from the community. Onto Saturday semis.
Thanks to Marquette

North Hills trails by one and the bank was open on a Friday night for Jake Pollaro. His 3-pointer off glass gives Indians 55-53 won. Wow.
Pleasure to have Fighting Irish

Coach Anthony Solomon is associate head coach at Notre Dame and was in to see North Hills 6-8 junior Royce Parham
@RoyceParham
.
Notre Dame now extremely interested. Thanks, coach Solomon.
As coach Gabos said, it's only December. You want to be No. 1 in March.
It doesn't mean much now, but it is nice to see. From Post-Gazette:
"In what is believed to be a first in the history of North Hills boys basketball, the Indians are ranked No. 1."
Big game tonight at home vs. Pine-Richland, who has played North Hills tough twice this season. But also big for four special seniors. Come out and pay tribute. Game time 7:30. Senior Night festivities beforehand.

Great game tonight. Great atmosphere. North Hills holds on to win 66-63. Here’s the last few seconds after Will Blass sinks two free throws. Half court shot hits rim.
And a shoutout to:
Matt Seidl

The 3 North Hills players all made the 5 player all-section team. First time in 9 years that 3 players from one team made all-section in largest classification. Only 6th time since 2000.

North Hills gets some "pub" in Post-Gazette. Thanks
@BREAL412

“We have some pretty good balance. It’s not just one guy doing all the scoring, which is nice."
What a finish. North Hills trailed by 7 with less than two minutes left but pulled out 83-81 double OT win against Grove City. Logan Johnson, Zach Pollaro hit big 3-pointers. Down by 2 with 20 seconds left, freshman Eric James scores twice off turnovers to give NH the win.

Congratulations, North Hills on section title. And
@NorthHills2022

Congratulations to the North Hills girls on tonight's big win against Mars.
If North Hills can beat Hampton Thursday, North Hills would tie for a section title. North Hills hasn't won a section since 1980 when it tied Shaler and won a one-game playoff for section crown.
Let's hear it for North HIlls. Up 11 early. Down 9 in second half. No panic. Win by 10 on the road.
Another tough one tomorrow. Montour, which has only one loss, 1:30 at North Hills. Come see the undefeated and No. 1-ranked Indians.
Great job North Hills girls tonight.
History lesson: That NHills team that last won playoff game in 1979 beat Norwin 55-54 in semifinals and played in WPIAL championship at Civic Arena. Photo from title game of NH’s Patty Van Leer and Melanie Lees. Gotta love the socks.

@NorthHills20
