The most useful advice I can give to game designers / developers that just started is: Listen to advice but don't forget who you are. There is not a single way of doing things and we desperately need in the industry people telling different stories and doing things differently.

I think we should stop advising people things like "if you wanna be a [game designer] try to start as a producer / programmer / QA, etc so you get a job in the industry. Doing that is the fastest track to feeling resentful and making you (and probably others too) feel bad.

Tomorrow Dordogne will be finally published. I’ve been working on the project as lead game designer since before it even officially started in 2019 until nearly the end this year. I’m really proud of my work and how much I’ve grown as a professional in the last 4 years.
